Very share friendly dishes with interesting textures. Good selection of vegetables. A lot of chargrill approach but that is Wanaka in general.
Great service with the only misstep being the food arrived before the cocktails so we didn't have the space to enjoy those first....No room for dessert which I think is just as well as dessert menu seemed to be three in one and a love of the terrine approach. It's too much. Simple would be great.More
Between four of us we tried quite a few different dishes and agreed the quality of the food very good. Our waiter was enthusiastic and friendly and one little hiccup with the wine was promptly sorted.
The "but" in the title above relates to the...acoustics. The place was fairly full and the noise was considerable to the point that it was a relief to get outside. This does not make for a relaxed and pleasant evening, and their are ways of mitigating the problem.More
My sister was visiting for Easter so we ate at Kika.
Small plates are a great way to sample some very different flavors.
The Jerusalem artichokes were amazing.
Had to have dessert..a twist on the classic apple tartine.
The waiter was very friendly
This would now be one of my favourite restaurants ever. The combination of flavours and textures was delicious - a culinary experience. The service was lovely and friendly. Highly recommend this as a must do whilst in Wanaka.
Thanks so much Kika for fitting us last night. We’d just arrived in Wanaka and knew Valentine’s Day would make it difficult to get a table, so we appreciated it. We had such a delicious meal - everything looked amazing, and tasted even better. The...flavours and textures were stunning. Delicious wines too. We also really appreciated the friendly yet professional service. We’ve been lucky enough to have eaten our way around the world and always feel so happy when we come to a restaurant like this, with food that’s just that little bit different and also super delicious. The seared tuna was my favourite, the chicken liver pâté his - but the chicken was really good too, and so were the vegetables. And as for the deconstructed cheese cake, those flavours were divine. A lovely night thank you!More
