So good. Plenty to choose from and a changing menu. Enjoyed it so much we went back for lunch again the next day!

Wish a Big Fig was in Auckland. We were in Wanaka for two nights and we ate here both nights. I had the slow roasted beef cheeks, and then the meatballs. Both were really tasty. The salads felt healthy and tasted delicious.

We visited Big fig for lunch - when we first walked past it was packed so we tried looking somewhere else... but the food was just too tempting and we returned to try it out! Despite there being a line it was moving very quickly...and took less than 10mins for us to get through.. we both got the $20 (medium) portion and it was perfect for a late lunch. The slow cooked beef cheek was delicious, the kumara gratin was soft and cheesy and the salads were all fresh and tasty! We both thoroughly enjoyed this simple and tasty mealMore

Busy lunch rush when we arrived as newbies. We were kind of confused about how to order but worked it out before we got to the front of the line. Not overly kind for those limiting calories but what the heck we were on holiday....Very busy wee place. Beef cheeks were cooked perfectly and there was a great selection for vegetariansMore

Was sick of eating pub food and wanted something a little bit different. The food was healthy and delicious! The staff were lovely too.

Grabbed a quick lunch and coffee there. Loved the cheese & Onion scone and the salad. Out in the sun in Wanaka. What more is there to love. Oh, the eco conscious way they promote bring your own takeaway cups. As a plastic opponent, was...one of the reasons I chose them.More

Wow! Loved this for a quick dinner. Tasty food, lovely selection and I could’ve just kept eating but was sufficiently full after one large plate. The kids all loved it too. Yum and will keep this in mind for next visit!!!

This was recommended to us to go to for a healthy and filling lunch option. It was super delicious and we were able to choose the size of the plate and the lunch ingredients ourselves. Best part was that they are having keep-cups for takeaway...that you can return all over NZ. No stupid landfill with this gem.More

Was looking for a takeaway dinner and walked into Big Fig. Very different from most and very nice and also healthy. You choose from a great range of meats, vegetables and salads. 1 large size takeaway dish was ample for my wife and I. Refreshing...to find something that was both different and good. Plenty of option for vegetarians and carnivores. Thankyou for a nice dinnerMore

Rolled up for lunch at 12pm, busy place with lots of staff. Hubby and I got a medium sized plate each though I'm sure we'd have been satisfied with a small. We chose one of the meats plus 4 veg/salad. The meat was beef cheek...which was so very tasty and tender. The vege choices were each a taste sensation in their own right. So pleased we dined here. Value for money and so worth it. Hubs wanted to go back for dinner!More
