Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This restaurant provided one of the best dining experiences of our month long trip around NZ. Food was well presented, high quality and delicious. Service was friendly and efficient. Highly recommended.

Absolutely fantastic food, coffee and service. We have done lunch and breakfast and both were delicious and actually healthier. Please consider opening this cafe in Wellington ;)

We had lunch at Mint Folk and Co. on 23 April on a beautifully sunny autumn day. We both ordered the salmon which was placed with a poached egg on spinach and round potato cake and came with café-made hollandaise sauce. It was accompanied by...whole crunchy capers. The meals were generously-sized portions and were delicious - a real treat. And the coffee and other food were wonderful too. If you get a chance, Mint Folk and Co is well worth a visit.More

Quick and courteous service, good coffee, nice food (bacon & egg pie) BUT one of the 3 lavatories lacked any toilet paper and in the next door one which did have paeper, all 3 soap dispensers were empty.

We made a booking at Mint and Folk for dinner, only to arrive and find that this cafe had, somehow, mixed our booking up so there was no table. I recommend diners here double check to ensure their booking is firm.

There is a day menu for lunch. I chose the smoked Salmon on a potato stack. The presentation was visually appealing and the taste was delicious. Hubby had the eggs benedict with the crispy chicken and he also thoroughly enjoyed his. Unfortunately his first choice...of the asian pork belly was sold out. So it pays to come early obviously. Price range $20 + per meal.More

Amazing breakfast options that not only look amazingly, but taste at least that well, if not better. I recommend to go for smoked salmon Benedict. When you are at the restroom, check out the handwashing poster. This will take your hand washing technique to the...perfection. The place was on Thursday morning very full, so count with a fact that you might wait in a line to get a free table. But I promise you that it's worthy.More

Talk about a serendipitous dinner. We read you had to book. So we walked up the day before and tried to get a booking. Initially it was full. Damn! As we were contemplating where to try next, a friendly waitress realised that there was a...table available for the four of us and chased us down. Hurrah! (can’t remember her name, but she served us that night, and had been to Sydney for holiday not long ago). We were so grateful as the whole dinner was awesome. Delicious food, I mean very good! Great service. Relaxed vibe, we had a great laugh. The staff were all attentive and friendly. Highly recommended.More

Stopped for lunch after a long drive. Had the salmon quiche with ham and potato salad, very enjoyable. Tried to book for a meal the following evening but fully booked, so if you are staying in the area, plan ahead to avoid disappointment.

As we often do when we travel. We look to where the locals buy their morning coffee. Upon asking a young man with takeaway beverage in hand he replied “it’s the only one open”… but we went along and not only was it open, but...friendly, fresh and full of flavour. Our breakfast burger and walnut/date loaf weee amazing. Not disappointed in the local choice in the least!More

At the town market and wanted lunch and saw this restaurant. You order, pay and then the staff bring it out to you. We sat outside and within a few minutes our food was delivered. I had the kiwi burger with fries and my wife...had the roasted veg salad. Both were excellent and lots to eat!More
