We popped in here for a drink and to feed and change our baby during a long drive. The drinks were great, with friendly service. The little shop is also nice with some great local NZ made gifts and products. One minor criticism would be...that there is a change table in the women’s but not be men’s bathroom which obviously isn’t ideal if you are a dad wanting to change your little one (either because you are on your own or just to give mum a break!)More

We had a wonderful breakfast here before heading to our next destination and it certainly set us up for the day. The setting was wonderful, plenty of parking and a lovely gift shop. Was a good start to the day!

Loved having a bite to eat here. There were several options for me to eat, gluten free and dairy free. Lovely wait staff, and quick service.

On our way to Ben Ohau and stopped for a quick drink for afternoon tea. Lovely lady behind counter who was friendly and chatty. Had a cup of tea which was nice and hot (so many are only lukewarm) and enjoyed the overall impression of...the place. It's certainly something that seems based on a hut (although it's a lot bigger) and watching a couple play mini golf outside was amusing. Place was clean and tidy and the toilets were good. Only problem was the wasps that appear to plague the whole area at certain times of the year - we had great delight in destroying quite a few. Definitely worth a visit.More

We couldn’t believe our luck when we found that this place is open until 4 pm. But it didn’t end there. I had a scrumptious salmon salad and my partner a divine banana chocolate muffin with his very tasty steak & blue cheese pie. The...staff were very friendly and happy to leave the feta out of the tapenade to make it DF (but still delicious). Couldn’t have been happier with our late lunch.More

We were staying at the nearby chalets so this was to go to coffee stop with cabinet food. We like hot coffee and that is what we got. The last day before we went home we had the full breakfast which was very good. Place...is clean, has atmosphere and the staff super friendly and showing some personality. I suspect this is the place we will come to when visiting Twizel in the future.. Mini golf and play ground here and ample parking. They hire cycles as well.More

Pleasant meal - I am fussy with cleanliness . Was pleased to see the tables being scrubbed down. A nice choice of food and the coffee was really hot. Lots of parking, a mini golf and playground for kids (we enjoyed the mini golf with...our teenagers) all in all enjoyable.More

We stop here on the way through Twizel after a friend recommended it. We were not disappointed. The service was efficient and friendly even though it was busy. We didn’t have to wait too long either. The food was delicious, even for my picky family....We had eggs Benedict with amazing salmon, waffles to die for and a delicious steak pie. All food was top notch. Highly recommend this place.More

An amazing lunch. The chef was great and whipped up a delicious salmon salad. It was a huge piece of salmon cooked to perfection. The combination of flavours was excellent. Friendly staff. Would definitely visit again. Cool retro cafe.

Came in for breakfast on route to Wanaka. Nicely themed wee cafe. Service was pleasant and the breakfast did what it said on the box. Some grilled tomatoes on the big breakfast would have been great but enjoyed our meal all the same. Don’t drive...past!More
