Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was the perfect “no kids” getaway - we’d had a few days on the mainland first but Navutu Stars really grounded us - food was straightforward always plenty of variety and tasty - Staff were very attentive and friendly - shout out to Penne,...Si & Solo who looked after us exceptionally!More

We are regular South Pacific travelers and this resort was a "stand out" in terms of the views, warm staff, who treated you like family, the resort meals, swimming and ambience. Great value.

Loved the fresh fish and vegan options. Cocktails were also delicious. If you are staying at the resort it is well worth your while to dine here for every meal. The views are also amazing, and just steps from the sea!

All fish and seafood meals were delicious and, of course, so fresh! The staff get your dinner order around lunchtime so they are prepped and ready to present delicious, hot meals promptly.

Food is expensive but quite ok. I normally eat salads + veggies and got food poisoning after second day (lasted 3 days). My wife doesn't eat raw vegetables and she was fine. Maybe avoid lettuce?

I’ve read multiple reviews on this resort and one thing that came up several times was that the food was hit or miss. We must have really been in bad luck because we did not have one single good meal. The octopus ravioli was inedible...as it tasted like old canned tuna. The (extremely expensive) lobster pasta had a few tiny pieces of lobster that were rubbery and chewy. Overall the food was the biggest let down as there was no other option for food so we were left having to order from the resort restaurant. Not kidding: not one good meal. On our 3rd and last night we we had placed our dinner order at lunch (a requirement as you can’t order the dinner at dinner time). We ordered 2 entrees and a dessert. When dinner came we had the entrees (the chicken parmigiana resembled something like a dry TV dinner that had been microwaved, yet it was around F$60). After that we asked about our dessert and they responded “they must have forgotten to order it for you earlier, so sorry”.More

We had an amazing stay in Navutu stars and we were happy with everything. The food surprised us because it was a fusion of Italian and Fijian cuisines and both were executed 99% to the perfection (steak was not rested enough - couldn’t care less...as it was sooo delicious, just noting that so you could fix it and be even better! and maybe add some more cheese to the toast, but it was still very tasty with your own home made bread.) We would like to express our special thanks to the chefs! Location was beautiful, amazing beach. Staff was so friendly and had the best aura about them - made us feel relaxed. We had a tour to the village which was so interesting and we learned a lot about the culture. Absolutely one of the nicest experiences in Fiji! Thanks again and we hope to see you again soon!More

My husband and I had the best lobster meal of our lives here. Generous portions and what they are able to cook being on a remote island absolutely amazed me. Other delicious meals were the pasta and chicken dishes, and the fresh home baked bread...at each meal was a lovely touch. Thank you to the amazing staff too.More

It's the only place to eat on the island but standards are high! Every meal has a choice of meat, fish or vegetarian. Breakfasts are awesome - eggs cooked fresh to your liking, stacks of pancakes, various meat dishes, fruit, toast, juice. Once a week...there's a barbecue and also a curry night. Birthday guests get a cake. Fantastic.More

Bula! Let me start by saying i would highly recommend staying here. From the moment you arrive you are welcomed with a smile a drink and a song. Staff were very helpful, accommodating, friendly throughout our stay making us feel like part of the family....Pristine waters and great snorkeling everyday along with daily access to Kayak's or stand up paddleboards. Rooms were spacious, always clean and private. For food we decided to do a 'half board' which was more than enough most days, which gave us Breakfast which was brilliant and always tasty. Also, a three course dinner which had a good variety on the menu. Hardly a bad word to say about the place, all i can say is remember the mozzie spray. Just a big thankyou to all of the staff and we hope to see you all again in the future.More

Great food if not a little pricey Different menus every night Just one small point, please try and deliver the food hot, many a time it was Luke warm, this is my one and only negative comment, and it certainly doesn’t outway the quality that was delivered.

If youre after peace and tranquility and are looking to get back in touch with nature come here! It was fantastic. Youre greeted by the staff singing and welcoming you onto the island with drinks, all the staff are so friendly and remember your name!...They really give you the star treatment. The place is so tranquil and quiet - with only 10 bures youre ensured privacy! The rooms are amazing and open up to waves lapping on your own private beah. I laid in the hammock and and watched thw tide come in every day! Theres lots of a tovities including kyacking and snorkling at the blue lagoon and trips to the local village! Be sure to stop off at the bar and have a chat to benny! He’ll tell you some stories and makes very nice cocktails. Phillip will provide you with all the local knowledge and make you feel very accomidated! When i go back to fiji im only going here! Ive told my mum she also has to go here next time! Hopefully cyclone josie didnt cause too much damage and everyone stayed safe! Thanks to Jeremy the manager too for ensuring everything runs smoothly! All the best guys brendan and ash.More
