I had a memorable dining experience at The Angry Penne in Saipan! This charming restaurant stands out with its inviting atmosphere and creative Italian menu. From the moment we arrived, the staff was welcoming and attentive, making sure our experience was top-notch.
The menu at The Angry Penne offers a fantastic array of Italian dishes, and the quality of the food is impressive. I particularly enjoyed their signature penne dish – the flavors were vibrant, and the pasta was cooked to perfection. The pizza was also a hit with our group, boasting a crispy crust and fresh, flavorful toppings.
The restaurant’s ambiance is both cozy and stylish, with a relaxed yet elegant vibe that’s perfect for both casual meals and special occasions. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into creating a pleasant dining environment.

I went to The Angry Penne from the suggestion of my hotel, Hyatt Regency Saipan. It was lunch and afterwards I was going to Mount Tapochau so I didn't want an entire pizza or leftovers because I didn't want to store it in the car. I looked at sandwiches and couldn't decide on the Chicken Parmesan or Chicken Caesar. I asked one of the waiters if he could describe the Chicken Caesar. He said it is everything from the caesar salad (local lettuce, confit tomatoes, fries shallots, shaved Parmesan cheese, & house-made dressing)
with a chicken breast and on bread. I decided to get it and the Chicken Caesar sandwich was the BEST MEAL I had while I was in Saipan. I told the chef it was amazing and thank you. Once I returned to the hotel, I told the hotel staff they need to try the Chicken Caesar sandwich next time they go to The Angry Penne.

I promise you I go to many restaurants here on island and on my travels. This IS the BEST service and BEST food on island. Miles apart from other places in Saipan.
Staff is very accommodating and friendly. You can tell they go above and beyond with their customer service. It’s almost ridiculous that this standard isn’t replicated in most if not ALL the restaurants/bars on island.
The food is amazing! You can tell the passion and love for Italian cuisine. Freshly made pastas, my favorite is the Linguine of Prawns (seafood umami sauce, so rich and has great depth) and of course the Penne Ariabiatta, classic spicy garlic sun dried tomatoes red sauce which is such a hit to the taste buds it’s a profound experience.
Also, it’s a small restaurant with very minimalist feeling as for right now HOWEVER from my understanding they started from nothing. Barely any money but just a dream. They didn’t have enough money to fully decor and renovate the dine in area, they had to focus on building the kitchen and the staff and to get customers through the door.
Now they are blowing up!
Can’t wait to see future with these guys. Thanks Angry Penne we will be back again!

Italian food on Saipan comes in different manifestations, including Filipino and Japanese, so when you find yourself craving pasta or pizza, you should be more specific. Angry Penne is more consistent with Italian food in the US, featuring lots of red marinara, tomato and meat sauces, pizza, calzone, a huge piece of very filling and delicious lasagna, and a fluffy rosemary focaccia. There are several pasta dishes, but they do not prepare them for takeout. The atmosphere is intimate, like a small, minimalist pizza kitchen with tables for small parties. They could use some art on their walls, but again, minimalist.

Mehh. Very very noisy as the restaurant is just a concrete room with no thought of cushioning the sound. The food was just so, their signature dish, the angry penne, is just so so and everything is too salty.
On asking if they would clear the table for the 3rd time, the did and only incompletely, as I had to finish doing so, as they had walked away. They had 3 wait staff on and a good deal of their time was just wandering.

I think this is the only Italian Restaurant in Saipan that serves good italian dishes! This was our very first dinner during our trip and it was recommended by the staff at our hotel. She was right! They have the best pasta and pizza on Island!!!! We recommend this to everyone!! It was just a little hot during our dine in. Maybe because the place was fully booked? But I would still recommend this place! Delicious food!!!!!!!

BEST Italian food and the BEST restaurant on island. It was like when I was back in Italy. Fresh pastas and probably one of my favorite pizzas I have ever tried. Service was so attentive! 100% recommend!!
