Great service from a friendly local, good beer selection and some honest pub grub on the menu. Sat on the deck in the sun and watched the world go by.

Had a light lunch here - only had a few options to choose from the menu. Beer was flat and the service not so friendly. Nice atmosphere in the pub though and the food was okay.

Recommended to go here by our hotel....friendly, open fire, great service, plenty of food, gluten-free needs well met, would recommend.

The Cook Saddle Cafe was recommended by our accommodation hostess. My adult daughters and I enjoyed our meals. We were presented with delicious and generous sized portions without waiting for too long. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was great.

Stopped for a quick bite, food was ok but as said in the review below (we were not in the same group) we found the manageress to be rather abrupt/rude with us and several other customers whist we were there - almost like customers were...a nuisance and she couldn’t wait to finish her shift, which put a dampener on what would have been an otherwise enjoyable experience.More

OMG. We didn’t even eat here because of the service we received on entering! We walked in at 2.30 pm to order something off their advertised “all day menu”. The manager was in the middle of publicly telling off her waitress. We were then told...there always no food until 4. When we said it was advertised as all day we were told by the manager that their chefs deserve some time off during the day as they work long 8 hours shifts. We were told they were entitled to their 2 hour break in the middle of shift. It was said so rudely like it was our fault! The waitress looked so upset and embarrassed while the manager told us off. We politely told the waitress that we would go next door for some food instead. Which we did. The cafe next door to this place was GREAT! Huge menu cheap delicious food and friendly service. I’m sorry but your employment issues are not my problem. If you’re chefs are working SO hard in a simple 8 hour shift that they need a two hour break then either stop advertising an all day menu or employ more chefs!!!More

Terribly slow service both times we ate here. The first was for dinner, it was a beautiful evening and very warm but they wouldn’t let anyone outdoors. Food is average at best

Great location, nice staff, my husband had the fish and I had the ribs, he really enjoyed his and I didn’t enjoy mine, the ribs were just not good amd I love ribs! They weren’t dry but there was to much sauce and the flavour...was just all wrong, I would definitely eat here again, I’d just order something different.More

Arrived at 4pm looking for a burger from their all day menu, which didn't exist. Had to wait until the evening menu at 5pm, and I'd love to say it was worth waiting for. Sadly not. Overcooked chips with a slightly weird tasting burger, and...portions weren't huge. Expensive, overpriced tourist food.More
