At first we thought it would be a little on the dodgy side (I’m not a fan of selecting a meal and having it heated) but we realised there was also a menu. My partner had a fabulous burger with chips and I’ve got to tell you I had THE best lamb pie I’ve ever had (from the pie warmer). It tasted like a lamb roast and was delicious. Sooo pleased we dropped in enroute. Definitely worth it.

So pleased we stopped here. Good gluten free options. As soon as we mentioned coeliac they offered to heat up dedicated gf fryer. Friendly, helpful staff & best of all a safe meal of toasted sandwich & fries for the teen.

We called in to the cafe for morning tea last week during our tour of the South Island. Had a delicious coffee and scrumptious cakes. Made terrible error of leaving my coat behind on the chair.
It was not until several hours down the road to Queenstown did I discover that I had left my very expensive Kathmandu jacket behind. We rang the cafe and the staff could not have been more helpful in helping me get the jacket back. By sending them a prepaid self addressed packet, they got the retrieval of my jacket underway.
The jacket has now been posted and is enroute to Australia. Thanks everyone at the Oasis. Not only great food and drinks, but wonderful service and empathy as well! I wonder if the jacket will beat me home?

Always a very nice spot to stop on a journey, with genuine friendly service, to grab a coffee and snacks etc. A few local souvenirs for sale also, good quality and supporting local kids etc. Thanks team!

This little eatery has both inside and outside tables and parking, either out the front or in the vicinity, isn't a problem. The food is fresh, coffee full bodied and the staff are friendly. The only hitch is its popularity so best if you plan to arrive and order just before the tour buses and other travelers arrive for lunch.

I guess you can’t expect too much from a roadside cafe- and this delivered. Pie tasted like it had been sat around for days and the bacon butty dripping in grease and in day old bread wasn’t much better. Terrible.

Fantastic spot to stop for refreshments on the way through Omarama; standard snacks and coffee for the adults, ice-creams and slushies for the younger ones. Good selection - so rather popular as a result. Efficient and friendly staff turned things over quite nicely. Will be through the area again, and stopping again at The Oasis for sure

Perfect quick lunch stop. Home made soup. We also had a cheese and onion roll - very much southern food! It came out piping hot and very quickly. Plus smily staff and parking outside.

Random place that we found on the way to Takepo. Food was OK, nice service, and overall you can find something you’d like. The pies were not great, good chicken nuggets and chips. Not bad for random place.

Pretty modest looking from the outside (though I do love a good ol Kiwi cafe/tea rooms. But then the food came, I know my eggs bene, and this one was exceptional! The rosti and rosemary was excellent. Definitely on my list again when we come through.

Frequently for coffee and cake with a friend. The staff know my name and are always friendly and helpful. They have a loyalty coffee card, something that I value. Icecreams are generous in a hot day.

Rude abrupt lady behind the bar, one of those places that everyone stops and stares at you when you walk in. Don’t service food apart from fries. Won’t be back
