Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Absolutely delicious. Every member of my party was happy ! The avacado egg special I still think about days later. The cappuccinos were perfect also. Check out the gift shop and the sweet sheep behind the shop!

Second time I have stopped in Omarama and the second time I have had coffee and a bite to eat at the Wrinkly Rams. Staff are friendly and the cabinet food is extensive enough to cover most needs. I had the Afghan biscuit and the...others had muffins - all delicious. There is a great variety of inside and outside seating too.More

This place has great ample parking. Coffee is good and most Cabernet food is good. Pies are excellent . A word of warning some of the Cabernet food is very average including the sweet chilli chicken wraps that are woeful. They have very little filling...and are now have half the filling they used to have and the grated cheese in them has been eliminated. Shame, they used to be the best, now the worstMore

Pulling in I didn’t have high expectations - the queu was long and the food looked greasy BUT boy was I wrong! The service was excellent and the food was delicious. In fact I’d say that the milkshakes were hands down the best we’ve ever...had - best for range, best for flavour and best for size of serving. I’m raving over Rams!More

Gift shop great. To go food looked great, tasted good but stick to a wrap if you plan to wait a few hours before eating! Scone superb-fluffier than many. They let us bottle feed the lambs at 10am-SO fun. Hot food looked good, people were...cleaning their plates.More

This is a large restaurant! Customers order at the counter and food is brought to your table in a reasonable amount of time. We all ordered Seafood Chowder. The portion was generous. It was tasty and reasonably priced.

Waited at the counter to be served for several minutes while 3 staff members were chatting away. They clearly saw me waiting to be served but decided their chat was more important. I asked one of the staff who was actually busy (clearing table) who...I had to talk to to buy some food. He spoke to the 3 ladies, they glanced in my direction but clearly decided that I could wait. I walked out. Worst service I have experienced in 10 years. If you’re looking for food in Omarama but want to treated with kindness and respect, maybe choose another establishment!More

Always busy & our go to when passing through Omarama. Nothing remotely low carb though sadly. Lots of seats inside & out.

Visited with family and the food was amazing. Unfortunately staff was rude and I felt a bit racially discriminated while ordering. Especially the old lady who was taking order on counter. The rolling eyes and everything when I was ordering my coffee for takeaway, because...she assumed I will have this as dine in. Food wise amazing but staff and hospitality wise will definitely wouldn’t recommend.More

Made Wrinkly Rams our choice of lunch destination and loved it. The food portions were big and of a good quality. We chose to stop here to have lunch and stretch our legs and the children in our group enjoyed exploring the areas around and...petting the 2 lambs out back. Staff was friendly.More

Go to to Wrinkly often. They consistently offer great food and service . It's a busy cafe catering for locals and the travelers/tourists etc. Dining areas outside and inside. Great parking and my pooch is welcome when I'm dining outside.

Just stopped in for a scone and sausage roll. There were no date scones there but the lady must have seen my eyes looking at the sign and said without me asking that there were some out the back. She popped out there, heated and...butter - perfect. Sausage roll was home made and husband reported very tasty. Service was amazing, food yummy and really well priced.More

The Wrinkly Rams was another impromptu stop for some coffee and refuelling and another delightful find on our NZ travels. Great coffee, we had a delightful steak pie, sausage roll and the Lolly cake also hit the spot. The gift shop was really good fun...too. Overall a fortunate and worthwhile spot to stop off at in the South Island but we're sad to have missed the sheep shearing show!More
