The Tahi Bar + Kitchen offers more than just beer, wine and food; it offers unique and memorable experiences. Off-the-beaten-path, literally, we’re located down an alley in the small riverside town of Warkworth. Our kitchen is a Kiwiana smoke & grill, offering delicious, authentic local cuisine. Each meal can be complimented with one of our wonderful regional beverages. We specialise in craft beers, ciders and wines from around the Warkworth & Matakana regions. On the weekends, we often have live music from local musicians. The quirky, eccentric décor includes an eclectic collection of electric guitars and basses, with lots of locally produced, original art and beautiful photography of the Warkworth area. Come to The Tahi for an afternoon or evening you won’t soon forget.

Best beer on tap selection in Warkworth, excellent bar food, great background music. They also have plenty of live music, often with no cover charge. Soulful place that doesn't just feel like they're just out to take your money.

A fabulous local pub where the decor is steampunk meets guitar hero. The food is delicious and affordable. There is comfortable seating indoors and outdoors (undercover), and its a showcase of brilliant musical talent. There is also an impressive selection of games if you feel like playing, and a collection of unique guitars on display. I recommend the mushroom burger.

I love this place! A great range of craft beers, great food (chicken wings are superb), lovely staff. Very relaxed vibe, they support local brewers, local wineries, local food outlets, and local bands (great live music nights!). Great place to just chill out after work in the beer garden.

We were glad to see that Warkworth's best little bar and kitchen is back running after being closed through the Covid-19 lockdown.
We had a very pleasant dinner and some excellent craft beer in a very pleasant, friendly environment.
We'll be back !

Enjoyed our stop - were looking for a late afternoon coffee and all other Warkworth cafés were closed. They made me a refreshing iced coffee and my partner had an IPA.
Chill music, board games, plenty of outdoor seating.

We had a 60th birthday and 40th anniversary celebration to arrange and used the rear area at the Tahi bar for the party. It all worked extremely well The kitchen put on some glorious finger food for everyone. The bar team were so pleasant, helpful and easy to deal with. Happy to manage the background music for us to suit which was brilliant.
We had a marvellous time, as did all our guests. Massive thanks to the bar staff and to the kitchen team, we really appreciated your efforts and kindness !

Quirky decor pub with fabulous range of board games to play. Friendly welcoming staff, a range of seating options both inside and out, good value pub food. I’ll go again and take friends and family to enjoy this laid back venue in the heart of Warkworth.

On my way north with 2 dogs in the car and stopped off to walk them along the river & stumbled upon this hidden gem. Warm welcome from dog loving owner. Friendly locals & great food. Seemingly regularly live music. Will definitely be back. Highly recommended

I used to work up the road from tahi and spent a good deal of the there.
Tahi has been an institution for a long time.
They were doing craft beer before most people had even heard of it.
I love the recent changes to the outdoor area making it much more of a year round venue.
Excellent food too.

Great atmosphere and food The owners and staff are so welcoming. One of the nights we went there where two live bands on and both were excellent. I would recommend this bar to everyone that are in this area. Thanks for a great time wish we weren’t 26 hours away.😁

It might have been 5 - if the outdoors was a NON smoking we could have stayed sitting outside which was our preference to eat. Surely time ti make your place exclusively non smoking. Otherwise really good.

Wonderful place full of great beers and real characters. Good band playing that night.
Lost nothing of its original character from last year. The new owners are doing a good job of keeping up the tradition. Not quite sure why the Thai name as I couldn't get any Thai food. Not even a stir fried plate of chicken and rice. Burgers and chicken wings etc. Bar food but not Thai. Curious that.
