It’s our must stop place homeward bound to Whitianga.
The toasted sandwiches are the best, especially the bacon, egg and cheese.
Small cosy cafe with friendly staff.
Inside outside dining.
Great selection of food and beverages.
Good parking on Main Street or around the corner...close to other great shops.More
Called in here on the way home, usually it's for breaky going the other way.
Had our usual, toasted sandwiches which so far are the best on the peninsula.
Tea for to in takeaway cups as we were on a mission.
Tidy indoor, outdoor seating....Friendly lady on orders and the order came out quick.
They had a bit of a run as two van loads of tourists turned up with some very unusual requests regarding cuisine but they handled it quite well and tried to please everyone.
I've heard the coffee is good too.
Just a stones throw from Heaven and Earth, rock and jewellery shop which is a must visit.More
I don’t really have a comment on the food or coffee as we bought soft drinks from the fridge. But I was shocked when the server walked out of the cafe (we were sitting outside) to the table of two mums and kids next to...us to ask them bluntly “were yours the two flat whites and two fluffies”? When they responded yes, she said “well they’re ready - they are takeout”. In other words she made the effort to walk out to their table without the drinks just to tell them to go and get them! And the tone was really unpleasant. They had small children (hence the fluffies!) and I thought this was rude and unnecessary. I won’t go back so I will never know what the food is like. I hope the person has found a job that suits her a little better.More
Thanks so much to all the staff. They have looked after us every day this week with fabulous breakfasts, coffee, cakes and tea. Almost everything they sell is home made, sausage rolls are the best I have ever had, more like a meal than a...snack. Their hash browns are just fab! I got hooked on their creamed mushrooms on sourdough flatbread while I was there. I think I had them four times in the week! You really couldn’t do better, just go!More
It was the end of the Easter holiday weekend. Tairua was busy and we checked in on two restaurants which were crowded, noisy and smelt greasy. We spied this little cafe just off the main street and it was an inspired choice. Prompt, friendly and...genuine service. I had the calamari and pesto salad which was healthy and tasty. The Earl Grey tea was also good and came with extra hot water as requested. No holiday surcharge, unlike the other places we'd checked out.More
Nice little stop for breakfast. Staff is very helpful and when out of their way To make me a fabulous cappuccino! I ordered a bagel with salmon and tomatoes and unfortunately they didn't have any avocados. I can't do dairy so no cream cheese. I...just told them to give me extra tomatoes. They did an exceptional job as you will see in the photo. I would suggest a stop here for breakfast or lunch of year in the area I don't think you'll be disappointed.More
This is the Early morning Coffee spot for the locals. You meet some interesting characters outside for coffee most mornings between 7 & 9.
Recommended place to go for up to date fishing advice although some of the stories may be a little 'fishy'
The worst coffee in a long time, and the food was awful. I was embarrassed because I had recommended this place to my colleagues on basis of memories from prior visits. Incompetent service from young trainees is ok ... it's Christmas holidays and she was...probably learning ... but the surly older person should know better.More
