Went to have lunch today. Had the Wargu beef burger. The burger was not nice. Was fatty the bun was saturated, the only taste you got was the very well done patty, the chips were over cooked, cardboard taste. They make you pay a surcharge...if using a credit card.
We will not be going backMore
Good food, though I must admit to a little food envy as my husband had the steak which was cooked to perfection, whist I had the pan fried Snapper, 3 tiny pieces that sadly were overdone, we had a side of broccoli which was cooked...al dente and delicious.
Lovely ambient neighborhood restaurant, one thing I must mention is avoid main body of restaurant if you are a couple, sound bounces off the wall making enthusiastic group party diner conversation and cackling laughter intrusive.More
Came here because of the reviews.. i was a little disappointed to say the least.
Firstly there is no table service. When i came in lady at the counter gave me a menu and said sit anywhere, but didnt tell me i had to order...at counter. This would have been fine had i known. No fresh juice- just bottled with high sugar content. My coffee then came out in a takeaway cup- this was not a request, everyone else around me had cups, server offered to change it but i said no- didnt want it wasted. Breakfast which came out within 5mins of ordering which made me think it had all been pre prepared already...
Eggs were good but had very long tails. Bacon and tomato ok. The toast however was only toasted around the crust. Felt and tasted like it had been sitting around for a while, it was soggy and bread like everywhere but the crust. Not worth the #2 spot but maybe its just the monday blues..?More
Once again, TripAdvisor enables us to find a great place to eat in an unfamiliar area. Heading out of Auckland city in the middle of the day, we spotted the reviews for this place, which is just a short distance from the motorway. It is...larger than it might appear from outside - there are lots of tables, both indoor and out, so even though it was busy, we were able to get a spot quickly. It’s got a spacious feel, white, light and bright. The team at Urban Soul also offer good service, with well trained, efficient staff delivering a consistent experience. There is an appealing range of cabinet food, all of which is very attractive to look at. We went for menu items. The BLT comes out as a club toasted sandwich dish - large, filling and attractive - with some chunky fries. Definitely a crowd pleaser. Good toilets and you are usually going to be able to get a car park nearby. Deservedly popular.More
Met overseas family and friends, before they left Auckland. There was a great choice of food, which catered for all different dietary requirements. Delicious variety and affordable prices. Will definitely go back again and again
Not horrific but not good either. Very basic lunch place that does have table service of sorts i.e. you go up both to order and pay but they bring the food to you but the meals they served were poor quality. Couldn't even do good...fish and chips or a good salad. Def not worth the effort when there are so many other good eating places to go to.More
A hidden gem! Went on a Sunday around 9.15am. Not packed and found a lovely table with a view. Lovely decor and warm and friendly staff. Ordered the Eggs Benedict with Bacon. Absolutely divine! Will definitely take my family and friends there!
I went to Breakfast with an old mate to catch up and Urban soul was definitely buzzing.
Didn't quite know where to check on my reservation as it was a seat yourself arrangement but I did see they had reserved the table I asked for....Breakfast was good, about what you would expect for your money not a "large portion" so average value for money but everything on the plate was very good.
Staff were very helpful and friendly and considering how busy it was thats very well done
would definitely visit againMore
