Great pizza and beer recommendation by the young English barman. I also enjoyed the non alcoholic beer recommended. Fast, friendly service.

Loved the ambience of this place. We sat outside in the gardens and tried the beer tasting prior to ordering our meal. The beer tasting was very generous and went down very well with the fantastic pizza we ordered. The pizza selection was vast and...creative and combined well with the atmosphere of the location.More
Visited Oct 2023. Had dinner here and a couple of drinks while on a stopover in Hahei. First off the service. First class. The owner is a delight to talk to and the young lad serving (who resembles George Michael :) ) is brilliant. Food...was lovely, we both had the fish and chips and it certainly beat any fish and chips I've had in the UK. The beer and wine was good also. Bathroom facilities are clean and well appointed. If staying over or visiting Hahei? Make this a stop to refresh. Many thanks for the excellent service.More
Super!
July 2023 - Visited during a chilly winter spell on a Wednesday, the only thing open in town in the evening. Walked from the Church accommodation, for a non-driving sloshing. Local advice was get there early and we did - 5 PM on the dot....Good advice - jam packed by 6 PM. And for good reason - really great pizza - tasty sauce, ample ingredients, quality cheese, thin crisp and chewy crust! Near a pizza perfection. Or as close as you can get in this outpost on the Coromandel .Craft beer was really good too, ordered a flight, then a couple pints, partner enjoyed some nice NZ white wines. Friendly service. Highly recommend if you are in the Hahei area. And it was nice to support the local businesses after Cyclone Gabrielle. Good Job Pour House!More
Thank you!
Was recommended to visit by my son, and it didn't disappoint!! In fact, it's one of the best places I ever visited. After the first evening didn't even bother looking elsewhere. The atmosphere both evenings was warm & friendly (especially quiz night), the food was...tasty, generous portions and well presented and what always makes a place for me.....the people who run it are great. Although packed to the rafters, Karen (who owns it with husband) seemed to have all the time in the world (like a gifted batsman facing a fast bowler), to chat & make you feel welcome while busy serving serving. It's primarily a small brewery serving food but my, I love it. Great selection of beers, stouts & cider (along with everything else of course). Thank you!! Only wish I was there for longer.More
Thank you so much for spending the time to give us such great feedback
I’m not usually one to write negative comments but seriously guys your cook needs a lesson in making a good Burger as the so called Chicken burgers we were served last Tuesday night with a small portion of chips were underwhelming and at $25.00 each...a rip-off! Nice brioche buns but the filling was hard to find - it was just as well I like bread!More
Next time wherever you go kindly tell the staff you are not happy. Hospitality is hard enough as it is.
Fabulous pub with delicious pizzas and burgers. Make their own beers and cider. Friendly welcome and free tasting of the cider when we were deciding what to buy. Beautiful setting with lots of outdoor seating in amongst native garden. A real treasure and destination. Book...if you are there over a weekend or a busy time. Note shorter hours in winter so make sure you plan ahead.More
Good advice!
I ordered fish curry and there was absolutely NO fish in it. Just some chunks of kumara, curry sauce and rice. Very disappointing and won’t be going back.
Nice place and very friendly barman. Menu could do with a little more variety but good food regardless. It’s really lucky this place is open on a Monday where basically everything around it is closed. Would recommend.
Thank you Kammmm
Not particularly generous pizza toppings, half a pice of salami per pizza slice, and the rocket promised on the menu for the veggie pizza was missing completely. The manager who was apparently coming along to sort it all never materialised.
An interesting experience. Good to book if the weather is uncertain. Honest grub and good selection of craft beers on tap and for sale/takeaway
Thank you!
Excellent little brew-pub with a small menu plus pizzas. Good beer and a lively buzz. Small inside area with a much larger lovely garden space - tho as weather turns it got cold outside without heaters! Beer selection is very good - covers all main...craft beer types (APA, hazy, IPA etc).More
Excellent food and place was buzzing. Really recommend No need to book. I shared a delicious Eton Mess with my husband which was delicious
Recommended by our B&B, we tried this for a meal in the evening and we weren’t disappointed! Very laid back and nice atmosphere and we were able to eat outside which was lovely. Great little place with nice food and good craft beers. We had...fish and chips and pizza. Both very good and the service was quick and efficient. Would recommend.More
A wonderful place to eat and have a few drinks, any time of the day. Do experience the local craft beer! And the food was good too!
