Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My wife and I stopped here for dinner on our way through Massachusetts and are happy we did. We had the New Spicy Tuna Maki, Pink Lady Maki and Duck Udon which were all excellent. Service was good as were the prices. I'd strongly recommend them if you enjoy sushi.

Sushi House has good sushi for takeout. It's a bit of a hole in the walk (and on the 2n d floor of the building. The sushi chefs have been there for years and you can count on fresh, tasty sushi. On this visit (I usually do takeout) we had mostly veggie sushi.

Basically a good place to grab a quick lunch or dinner. Good service and friendly staff. Seems to be a good value for money.

Whoever says this is nice Japanese food obviously has not tasted real Japanese food.
The variety is not a lot and the sushi or sashimi is not fresh. Even the miso soup is thin.
The basic soya sauce is not sushi grade and salty.
If you want real Japanese food this is not the place:

The first time we ate at Sushi House was on a very wintry night as we had just moved from the west coast and were craving sushi!
To our surprise it was one of the best Sushi joints we had been to, and that's saying a lot considering how many we have been to over the years. The variety is excellent and it tastes divine. Highly recommend!

We were in the Concord area and decided to try thisplace. This was a late lunch or early supper (about 4.30pm). We shared a seaweed salad (nice pickling) and some specials. The appetizer was a sweet miso mango salmon. Very nice. The two mains were spicy tuna maki and sweet miso yellowtail maki. The maki has 8 pieces each so there was plenty. I wish they were not so enamored of mayonnaise--a little goes a long way. Be aware: Sushi House is on the 2nd floor and we found no elevator. Also, they do not take Amex.

I love sushi and go here when I have a yen. The atmosphere is very nice and the service is great. They make the sushi right there. Very very good.

Outstanding quality and variety of sushi plus option of cooked food too. Small place that tastes much better than i expected based on quick look of place.

We were staying at the new Marriott Residence Inn on Baker Ave, and were thrilled that there was a sushi place down the road. There is Habachi on the first level and sushi upstairs. We did the Sushi and started with grilled squid and a seafood sunomono .. and they were both great. Main dishes of Sushi Deluxe and Chicken Teryaki were fresh and tasty and generous. They have a full bar with very well made drinks. This entire area is a bit off the beaten track.... matter of fact, we had to use the round-about twice before we found the entrance into the restaurant (and got completely lost finding our hotel) ... but do try to find the Sushi House and enjoy the family-owned warmth and quality of this fine place. This is a great restaurant and it deserves you going a bit out of your way to find it!

This was a wonderful place to nurse a cup of green tea, or some hot saki on a winter's night, while enjoying generous servings of delicious sushi. It seems to be family-run, the staff is amazingly warm and welcoming, and they don't rush you, even when it's already a little late in the evening and you're sure they must want to go home already! I enjoyed the food, the drink and the hosts very much and will certainly go again when I return. Note: If you like soft seating, you might want to bring a cushion, as my recollection is that the seating was wood and not soft.

Kind of funky place, ordered small plates of four things, 2 hot appetizers and 2 rolls, just enough for two people. Cosmos huge and very good, nice price too! Service well timed and friendly. Something different on an historic 2 day vacation in Concord, inexpensive and tasty.

One of the things I have noticed in this area is that Chinese restaurants double as sushi places... With very little success. This one is a perfect example so, if you want your maki tasting like chop suey, ho ahead and order. Not my case.

I've eaten here several times over the years, and each time, I have walked away slightly disappointed. It has never been downright awful, but I’m always left feeling as if things could have been better. Regrettably, it’s one of the few Japanese restaurants near Acton, and truth be told, the food is okay, but it’s not the place to go for a perfect package.
Tonight’s dinner was another one of those “if only” meals. If only the waitress who greeted us actually greeted us by saying something simple and welcoming like “Good evening” or “Welcome” or “Hello.” Instead, she simply muttered “Want anything for starters?” which meant, after I inquired, “Do you want a cocktail?” If only she had put ice in my water so that, on a 90 degree day, I wasn’t drinking something lukewarm that could have been used to wash the dishes. If only the black miso cod appetizer was presented with even the slightest of elegance. If only the $27 sashimi 'boat for one' wasn’t overloaded with cheap artificial crabmeat, including a California roll and an artificial crabmeat mixture with mayonnaise in a glass. Add on the cooked shrimp sushi, and about half of what I ate wasn’t even genuine sushi. If only the waiter had told me *before* I finished that I could have exchanged the crabmeat for something else and eaten seaweed salad instead of that mayonnaise atrocity. If only my wife’s dinner box had a real salad, not a wilted iceberg mélange reminiscent of high school cafeterias with a pasty, congealed dressing on top.
Sushi House isn’t horrible, but it’s so flawed. I’m glad I finally wrote up a review for the community, because it’s probably the last time we’ll go.

At the very beginning of the Feb 2015 snow storm, we hopped in here for some very late, last minute dinner. The owners allowed us to eat and the food was amazing.

I do enjoy this place to go with friends to hang out. It has cute sitting areas, booths, private rooms, etc. The menu is expansive, and you can always find something new. The service is sincere and prompt.
The only downside is that the food isn't great. I would stick to standard easy dishes like simple sushi dishes and don't go anything fancy or items that are less frequently ordered. I have tried a bunch of items, and less popular the item, less the quality.
