Priya Cuisine can be Heavenly!

My review of restaurants is based on one principle: what you expect when you visit and whether it meets, exceeds or surpasses all expectations. Your expectations when you visit a 5-star (expensive) restaurant would be quite different than when you visit a less expensive, family style restaurant. Priya is a spacious, family restaurant; you climb down two flights of stairs to a cozy and clean dining area. My wife and I were seated promptly by our host. The service was attentive as usual. I asked if Sambar Vada could be served as Rasam Vada and the waiter said ‘sure, no problem’. I also ordered Onion Rava Dosa (without Masala, which is too filling!). My wife ordered the Vegetarian Thali and enjoyed the sumptuous meal. For me, the Rasam was perfectly hot (temperature) and the most delicious and heavenly! This is the Best Rasam I have tasted in a South Indian Restaurant in ages. Not too often you visit a familiar place and it far exceeds all expectations; Priya did it today and I was sky-high!

YES! You Won't Be Disappointed!

So travelling through Chemsford and decided for take out after sitting in a car all day. Each evening on our travels we had to have different cuisine, well East Indian it was. Delish! We started with the appetizer of a mix bhaji selection. They were filled with spinach, potatoe etc... Next was 2 entree selections one being with lamb and spinach and the other chicken was tomato based. Each had a container of basmati rice sent with. Also, to compliment the meal we had a garlic naan. All selections were flavourful with a little heat which we enjoy. The price for all was very reasonable and portions were ample. So glad we chose Priya and very close to our hotel. Highly recommend!!!

Great food and staff

We love to go to this place with the family. We have been there for lunch buffet, dinner and family functions. and all have been great experience. only issue with this place is with parking - it be very tough to find parking during busy times.

Enjoyed the South Indian Food

My wife and I were pleasantly surprised to eat a sambhar that was not customized for wimpy American stomachs. It tasted and felt like genuine madrasi sambhar. Have been to countless South Indian Restaurants around this place. The most they suck, is at the Sambhar. Highly recommend this place.

Priya has the best menu in the area, authentically spicy (so if that's an issue, ask about 'mild' treatments). The wait staff are friendly and attentive. The Bollywood music videos are a nice touch and always captivating.

Quality indian cusine

After a few weeks of American food, I was happy to be introduced to this restaurant. The chef even made a special dinner for us. Malai Methi Mattar. Everything was great! Service was excellent. Food was great. Ambience was even better. Totally worth a eat in.

Excellent service, authentic spicy Indian palate

Not just another Delhi palate disguised as Indian food. Authentic taste and friendliest service I have seen among Indian restaurants in USA. Typically they servers are reluctant and disdainful. But these guys were most welcoming and accommodating to our demanding large and diverse group.

Indian food with buffet. We went for lunchtime, it was not bad for the check we paid. The environment is not so nice, a little bit old but, again, food is not bad. I would not suggest it for an elegant dinner, but for lunch is ok.

Delicious food with great value

We arrived at 1pm on Mothers Day so we were not surprised to see about 12 people waiting for tables. We called earlier but we were told as we were just a party of 2, reservations were not necessary. Waited for 20 mins for a table but the food was totally worth the wait. Staff were quick to replenish the dishes. My 2nd time here and we were not disappointed. $17.99 per pax ($9.99 for kids) for all you can eat. 3 types of Briyani rices, Naan, chapati, vade, samosa, tandoori chicken, grilled lamb chops (both tender and favourful), an array of curries and chutneys, assorted fruit and 7 types of Indian deserts just to name some of what was on offer. We ate our fill and I highly recommend this restaurant. The meats are also halal so it's a good place for Muslims.

If you are not sure whether you like Indian food or not, come by for the buffet. There was good choices to pick from and great bread (called Naan). Some stuff was spicy, some not. Get a mango lasse to help you overcome spicy food!

STAY AWAY FOR YOUR OWN HEALTH

Please stay AWAY. We went for our anniversary lunch and ordered buffet. We were very hungry, however, we felt full within quite tiny portion. However, we tried to eat more but couldnt. Soon, our stomachs became gassy on the way back. Its been more than 1 day and its still quite not alright. Pretty sure they added soda to all their buffet foods so people dont eat more. I have a solution, DONT have buffet "YOU MORONS" The Manager at this place was even rude; he says... "So what should I do"; I suggest STAY AWAY!
