We had read about this place on trip advisor, we were staying at the Paramount hotel anyway so seemed like a no brainer to try this bar one of the nights we were staying. We opted for small plates to try the menu, this did not disappoint at all. All plates were generous for two people, so we shared each plate, 2 sliders on a plate, cauliflower steak roasted enough to share, tuna tartare etc. with side plates. Happy hour is between 4-6pm, the bar is quite a small but comfortable area, table is a wait but you are seated quite quickly during this time. Most people select this for pre theatre or show drinks and food. The menu is very much varied and drinks are quite reasonably priced. Staff are very friendly and quick with table and drinks service, the payment method preferred is card here but they will accept cash too. We had a wonderful meal sharing the happy hour menu which was enough for us. Highly recommend this place, location is brillant on Pine street amongst the shops and restaurants so whether you want a bite to eat before shopping, or pre dinner drinks this is ideal. Toilets and washrooms is the only downfall you will have to ask the bar staff for a card and go to the second floor of the hotel.

This restaurant has a creative menu that gives a nod to Korean cuisine. Don’t expect a spread of kimchi or a hot plate on your table. Chan went from strength to strength on this occasion. We started with Pork sliders - tender sweet pork with pickled radish and scallion and a rich aioli on a soft brioche bun. Also Chicken Wings Korean style - sweet and a bit of kick, delicious. Unfortunately, they were out of the kimchi stew - maybe next time. We had Alaskan Black Cod that was delicate and perfectly prepared, and my favorite- smoked duck with oyster, onion, scallion and a hint of truffle over rice in a broth and dressed with nori and a sauce similar to hoisin. This was a marvelous display of creative preparation and a thrill to taste. My only quibble is when one of us asked for a refill of fountain soda and was charged. That is really silly.

With all the pricy alternatives nearby, it was nice to get a romantic dinner and high-quality meal at a reasonable price. The Alaskan Black Cod was cooked to perfection and will leave good memories for a long time. Other dishes were just as outstanding: the crispy rice salad and the Korean spaetzel were delish. Combine that with the first-service from Wilder, and you have a very special meal. We even came back a few days later with a business colleague. Wow!

This Korean-fusion restaurant is on the first floor of the Paramount. We stopped in for happy hour and loved their happy hour menu. Their pork Bulgogi sliders, chicken wings and tuna tartare were all worth a second visit.

The restaurant was nice, but lacking a little atmosphere as there weren't many people in, I think if it was busier it would've been fine though. Food was fantastic, great flavours and it was nice to try something new on our trip. My only issue was how rushed it was, I think this seems to be the norm in the US; this was meant to be one of our nicer meals out and we wanted to take our time and enjoy it, but we were in and out very quickly.

These chicken wings are perfectly crispy and coated in a rich, spicy sauce. Topped with crunchy peanuts and fresh green onions, they offer a delightful mix of flavors and textures. A must-try for wing lovers!

We ate at the new location with their soft opening at the Paramount hotel. It was fun to sit at the bar and watch the kitchen staff cook. We thought the food was really tasty but we found issue with some of our service. I think this will be resolved over time and this is why I rate this place 4 vs 3 stars. Many items on the menu are small plates style. Ask your server to deliver them one at a time and not all together. Make sure that the spiciest dish is not served first. We ordered delicious and very spicy chicken wings. Sadly since we ate them first, it meant we couldn’t then really taste the beef sliders we received since they were much more mild. Some of the finger food is really messy, and the restaurant had not yet secured wet wipes to provide clients or warm towels to clean fingers. The owner/chef was there working in the kitchen and was interested in what we had to say. He was so nice and I believe all these kinks will be worked out. I think soon this may be the hottest game in town.

We started with the Napa cabbage and crispy rice salad. Very refreshing and perfectly balanced. I could eat the beef cheek ragu once a week for a year! Big rice cake noodles that look a little like scallops in a savory sauce. The black cod was perfectly cooked in a very nice broth-not too spicy, but very flavorful. I am glad we split a dessert. The cheesecake was wonderful. I saw a couple other desserts at the next table and they looked beautiful.

Amazing meal. We had the rice cake appetizer and soup which were both good. The rice cake with beef cheeks and the “spaetzel” were the stars of the show, both being amazing. The duck also receives honourable mention I will definitely be going back

Came here for a fall trip after a walk around the market. Settled on some wine, could have grabbed a bottle from behind me, but only wanted a glass. My friend and I ordered the radish kimchi jar, ahi tuna tartare, fried oysters, braised short rib, bulgogi beef sliders, kimchi hangover soup, less the pork and finished with the candied ginger creme brûlée. The service was good. We were seated right away. It’s a small cozy and quaint spot. The kimchi jar, fried oysters and the kimchi stew all tasted decent. My friend enjoyed his tuna, short rib and bulgogi sliders, even though it seemed he was eating for two, then again his sense of taste isn’t as refined to me. It’s a nice ambiance and spot by the markets.

Good but not great. We waited until they opened at 5 because they don’t take reservations. Appetizers were good - we ate light due to a food walking tour that afternoon. The place is not big, but there were only two servers. So as the place filled, service slowed.

Great food here, good for those new to Korean food. Atmosphere is a bit lacking. We ate at 8 on a holiday weekend and the place was half empty. Happy, helpful staff who can guide you through the menu if needed.
