Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

While visiting Seward we met friends for dinner and enjoyed delicious pad thai and curry dishes. Server was pleasant, timely delivery and generous amounts of food. The fresh spring rolls are also delicious. Even though Woody's closing time was 8 p.m. they allowed us to continue visiting with our friends until 8:30. For sports fans they have a flat screen TV with current game playing. The prices are mid-range. Very enjoyable meal with friends.

We stayed overnight in Seward while based in a cabin near Palmer for over two weeks. Very few restaurants were open at this time of year so we opted to eat at Woody's because we love Thai food. Well blow me away if this wasn't the best Thai food we have ever had. I was hooked on the first bite and my husband really enjoyed his meal as well. Oddly enough, I had never had Thai iced tea but it was very refreshing and I loved the spices in it. Woody's is clearly popular with the locals as well. Seward is a fishing town and of course the seafood is probably excellent but do yourselves a favour and go to Woody's.

We tried calling for a reservation or take out, but the phone was perpetually off the hook. We drove down and it was packed with people waiting on the curb! We were able to put in a take out order and it was fantastic! I highly recommend the fried rice. It was a hit with the entire family. Everything we ordered was great. It was somewhat expensive though. We ordered 4 items and it was over $80.00 If you can get in there, I recommend it!

This was the longest wait we had for a table on our AK trip so be prepared. Once seated, the waitress did list about 5 things they were out of (including spring rolls sadly) but we were able all get food ordered. They don't have a printed kids menu, but she listed it off and my kids enjoyed their food. Decent mix of drinks available with beer for me and wine for my wife. Soda for the kids. Overall, happy we went there!

I’m going to make an assumption that we caught the chef on a bad day.
Admittedly, if you want Asian cuisine, then you are rather limited in choice and Woodys seems to be a default option. It does not take reservations and was very busy so arrive early to avoid disappointment (?)
There is parking outside, free of charge. The car par was looking full and it was only 5.30.
Having arrived, we were warmly welcomed and found a table. So far so good. The menu arrived and whilst it was limited, it still offered a good selection of Thai dishes. There were a couple of starters off the menu but we ordered some Pad Thai and another entrée.
The food arrived and it looked great - well presented and a wonderful aroma.
The disappointment was in the taste. It was ok……only ok. I’ve knocked up better Thai food at home. Perfectly edible, but bland and lacking flavour. Entirely without depth. It wasn’t bad….but neither was it very good.
By now, the restaurant was packed so it’s a popular place and receives some glowing reviews on trip advisor.
I can only assume It was an off day in the kitchen. My own experience was entirely mediocre when I had been hoping for food bursting with flavour.

The place was busy on a rare sunny day in Seward. The beef and broccoli and the Pad Thai were both good, plentiful and hot. The beef dish was served in an innovative pewter dish that really kept the dish hot. The menu is not large.

Several locals raved about this restaurant so we gave it a try. We typically eat drunken noodles at Thai restaurants so I don't really think we are true Thai food eaters so take my opinion with a grain of salt.
We had drunken noodles and neither of us really liked it. I guess it was the sauce that had an unfamiliar taste.
The service was fine.

Was craving spicy food after days of salmon, grilled or baked. The food hit the spot. We did take out. The portions were so big we had dinner two nights. Ordered the green curry chicken and red curry beef.

Great Thai food. I had the Pad Thai Wheat Noodles and they were really good. The portion size is enough to even take the leftovers home, at least for some people. The only downside was that for my personal taste, there was not enough sauce or “juicyness” in the meal. Definitely would recommend.

Long line, long wait and worth it. Locals suggested this place, raving about how great it is...long line proving it. All the food was great. a lot of the menu is spicy, we dont do that so i feel we missed out. but the curry and noodle dish was different than usual Thai in USA and so so tasty! not too rich either.

Woody's Thai kitchen is located just 5 minutes by walk from the cruise ship port exit gate. It's a great meal spot for tourists. The beautifully designed menu had a large vegan and vegetarian selection. The tofu corn cake starter was crispy and tasted great. The yellow curry and pineapple fried rice are delicious. Customization is possible for some of the menu items. Just tell them while ordering. The wine and beer choices are great. The service is warm and courteous. The interior had a great ambience and pleasant feeling. Private parking lot is available just in front of their door.

We ordered from Woodys when in Seward and were truly impressed with the food. The chicken panang was probably the best we've had and the Tom Yum soup was also delicious. Definitely check Woodys out for Thai food.

We were at Woody's a few years ago but didn't think to write a review so this is was two years overdue. We were visiting my son who lives in Seward and decided to dine at Woody's for dinner. The food was great . Being located in such a small town where there is not a single Asian grocery store to get all of the ingredients one would need to cook all things Asian or in this case, Thai food, the food is still delicious. I'm Asian and cook Thai food very often so I know good Thai food. Some Michael B. from Cambridge, United Kingdom says the food is mediocre. He obviously had his eyes wide shut the whole time he was in the little town of Seward and did not take notice that he wasn't a large city like London where everything he could ever want is readily available. Well, Woody's dishes out great Thai food with no options to get fresh Asian ingredients in Seward. I look forward to dining at Woody's again during my upcoming visit to Seward

Really lovely food and a big welcome. We had the beef Panang curry and a chicken yellow curry. Both were delicious. The draft beers were good too. Would go back except we leave tomorrow!

We eat here a few times a year, when visiting from the other side of the peninsula. So good. Love the fried rice and curries! However, there’s been a significant price increase over the last year. 25-30$ a dish. While it is delish, we probably won’t eat here as often any more when we come over.
