We had cheesecake and cake to go on two occasions during our stay, and oh boy, was it amazing! Our first visit was when we stumbled across it when coming back from a day out and our second visit was after a theatre show on Broadway, and both times the place had a huge queue. Staff are very friendly (and patient while you make up your mind from all the fabulous choices available) and move the queue along very well. We had slices of Chocolate Fudge Cake, Devils Food Cheesecake and Red Velvet Cheesecake. The slices are enormous and no way could we eat them in one go, but they are also light and delicious. The total charge was $27.50 and it was worth every penny. Well worth a visit and they offer more than just cheesecake and gateau so there is a lot to choose from.

We visited Junior’s on a Friday night because it was clean, well lit, and had an great selection of dishes to choose from—including vegetarian options. Our waiter KiKi was sweet and the food was hot, with unique options, not just traditional diner food. They serve slaw, beets and pickles while you wait, which is a really vinegary combo which is not for the faint of heart. We ordered Ruben egg rolls, a bacon cheeseburger, pasta with marinara, and fried fish and chips. The pasta lacked flavor, but everything else was delicious! The place is kid friendly, the portions are huge and has something for EVERYONE. Our bill came to $116 with tip, which is not unexpected in NYC.

Visited here on our first morning in NYC. Considering the location of Junior’s we were seated within 10 minutes, once seated we were greeted by our waitress who was friendly and attentive. Unlimited coffee, never let your cup run out! So much choice for breakfast, absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend this place.

The whole meal here was an absolute joke. First off when the waitress (her name was Autumn) brought over some ‘complimentary dishes’ she spilled beetroot juice on the floor next to the table and didn’t even bother to clean it up. The red juice remained on the floor for the whole dinner. Anybody could’ve slipped on it and it also looked unsightly. I then ordered the cheeseburger and what I received was in no way a burger. What burger patty is grey and dry? I took one bite and couldn’t eat the rest. The steak-cut chips were also dry and the onion rings were just pure grease. When we were finally finished with our “meals” the waitress didn’t even comment or ask if everything was okay even though she could clearly see we barely took a bite out of our burgers and didn’t eat any sides. She just asked if we wanted desserts. After the standard of the meal we just ate, all we wanted was to get out of this place quickly. Oh and also, when we ordered beer the glasses we got were dirty. This place is an absolute disgrace, so don’t waste your time/ruin your trip to NYC by visiting this place. Stay clear!!

I purchased a strawberry shortcake for my wife’s birthday on 8/10 and I was absolutely disgusted at the product. When I opened the cake there were molded strawberries on top of my cake. I am returning the cake but I am so disgusted and disappointed in this restaurant.

This restaurant look nice from the outside and lots of people inside decided to have lunch there were three adults we were seated immediately and could see it was very popular with mixed clientele We waited a very long time for someone to take our order and eventually had to call someone to get our waiter to come and take the order . My order was incorrect was brought turkey instead of beef sandwich . My sister got chicken wings and despite the fact finger bowls on table she was not given any to clean her fingers we were not offered any water but could table around us all had a jug of water and glasses . The food was good and lots of it but the service was dreadful the only time the waiter came near us once we had the meal was to give us the bill and make sure he got a tip

I'm sorry to give this a five but I'm reviewing it twice for the 2 visits. First visit would have got a 5, second visit a 2.
Ok, first visit. Take out cheesecake. Great service and great price for true NY cheesecake. It was to die for. Amazing!
2nd visit, we ate in hoping the food was as amazing as the dessert. We were wrong. Over salted food. We even offered the waitress to try it but she could tell that we had hardly eaten any of it. We had 1 meal refunded out if 2 meals and a side and left hungry. The waitress was very apologetic but we feel she was told what we could have as refund. I would certainly say to anyone to avoid the restaurant but get a dessert.

This is the place to take your kids. Lots of food, inexpensive and you can relive the days of the 1950's soda shop. We came for breakfast, begged for a cornbeef sandwich to go (lunch starts at 11) and we were pleasantly satisfied. Suggest you ask them to really cook the bacon and hold the SALT.

Been to Juniors numerous times on our visits to NYC, it’s our go to before we fly home. And yes I’m boring as I order the same thing BRISKET. I grew up eating it and I’ll pass on having still enjoying it. The portions are big and filling and the meat is tender and fresh, slaw, brisket sandwich and fries and wash it down with and piece of chocolate fudge cake....., beautiful

I brought someone that was new to NYC. Hate to say it but; I was really disappointed. We came for dinner and the quality of the Reuben was bad, the meat was very dry and the bread was stale. The Matzo ball soup was decent. The service was decent. The cheesecake seems to have lost it flair.

We stopped in for dinner between seeing two shows. We must have come at the exact right time because we didn’t wait at all for a table, but facing the door during our meal I could see the people waiting start to stack up. I would say that if you have more than 2 people during peak times, be prepared to wait a while. I ordered the bacon grilled cheese and it was great! Hot and cheesy on delicious challah bread - you really can’t go wrong. We were too full for dessert, but I’ve had cheesecake here previously and it’s very good too.

We ended up eating here by accident. We had been in the queue for Ellen's Diner but because of an issue with their kitchen they didnt open. We are so glad we came to Juniors!
We all had the omelettes which were served with home fries (tasty little cubes of potatoes covered in garlic and paprika) and toast.
My cousin found a hair in hers when she had nearly finished. A waitress got the manager to come over who couldn't be more apologetic. Offered her a fresh meal....she was so full, she declined so the manager insisted she got her a large slice of cheesecake for free.
We returned a second morning during our stay and this was equally as good. No hairs this time!!
Coffee was free refills too and the staff topped this up as soon as it was empty.

My wife and I went to Junior's twice into days. We first went to the takeout for cheesecake, one of Junior's specialties. We then came back the next day for dinner consisting of a Reuben and a beef brisket sandwich and a platter of Quinoa, humus, asparagus and other items.
We loved all of the food! A Reuben is essential to have in NYC and Junior's does it well. Don't forget the excellent pickles!
The Cheesecake, especially the original cheesecake, is simply amazing! It melts in your mouth like butter.
You can get their food by delivery, pick up or sit down in their restaurant. Either way, you won't be sorry with the food and the service. They run a high volume but consistently are excellent.
My wife and I will definitely return!

This is a place that makes you feel like you are in New York. The food is reminiscent of a NY deli. The Cheese Cake is excellent (not in the caliber of Gallaghers but the price is pennys on the dollar). They do a good job with fried chicken and it's a great after theatre desert/snack spot.
It's my favorite place in the area for breakfast. My son ate breakfast there 4 times during our 5 day stay. As a family we did one late night and one brunch.
Eating at Junior's is a great way to eat good New York food at a reasonable price. I've never had a bad meat and the service is always good.
