Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Just south of Washington Square this is a perfect stop for a real croissant or other deliciously authentic French pastry. There is very nice seating outside, but limited and stools inside

When you want a quick bite, delicious dessert or fine bread, this is ideal. I ordered a slice a quiché lorraine today with a bottle of Perrier and a brioche bread. Just perfect.

The macaroons were excellent. I don’t recommend the eclairs, they are good but not the best and for the price I don’t think it is worth it. The coffee was really good. It’s a small place and you have to find a way to sit...if you want to stay there. Otherwise it is a grab and go. I liked the food enough to recommend it to friends.More

Someone has mentioned this place to me. It was definitely worth the 45 minute walk from our hotel. Excellent coffee, amazing pastries, a super friendly lady at the counter - a great way to start our short trip to New York. Cherry danish is as...delicious as it is beautiful 😊More

This is related to the upper west side location. Management here must be a disaster...if there is any management, that is. I recently called 2 days in advance to place an order for an important business luncheon. I was told not to place the order...over the phone but to hang up and do it online 'so it doesn't get messed up'. I obliged and did it all online, including paying by credit card- well over $100, so not an insignificant order for a bakery. I arrived 2 hours after the order was supposed to be ready for pick-up. The girl at the counter was helpful, caring, and definitely trying her best, but she couldn't seem to find the order. So we needed to wait for someone else to arrive who supposedly had it. All the while the meter maid is outside trying to give tickets, so I have my son inside while I drive around the block a hundred times. In a nutshell, after waiting for a half hour, some men show up and when asked about our quiche, they respond 'we're going to Brooklyn now to make it'. Huh?? They are then surprised and appear annoyed that we didn't want to drive around the block for the next four hours while they travel to a different borough to make a quiche and then bring it back, and that instead we wanted our money back. Why did they not just say 'I'm so sorry, we completely forgot your order'?? Weirdest management experience ever. Fortunately I had 24 hours to the luncheon instead of 2 hours, but I had hoped to not spend my entire weekend cooking, which is of course what then happened. If the luncheon had been in 2 hours, my goose would have been truly cooked. Don't be caught up by the professional allure of the website..they don't know what they're doing over there. Stick to a cup of coffee and a croissant.More

A quaint French bakery nested in New York's Greenwich Village that provided my party of two a cool down and dryness from the upcoming rain storm as we neither of us had umbrellas. Very limited and extremely narrow tight seating. Two employees serving customers and...hustling non-stop to operate a bakery. Jasmine Green Tea by Kusmi $2.76 Cappuccino (misspelt on their sales receipt as "Cappucino") $3.49 Macaron cookies (one raspberry, one chocolate, one vanilla) at $2.50 each Their business card also serves as a frequent drink card with the tenth drink free. Their business card is a very simple black sketch drawing of a New York City skyline with iconic buildings and landmarks and contains Paris's iconic Moulin Rouge's windmill discreetly embedded in the background colored in purple to distinctly stand out. It symbolizes a French bakery in New York City. Very bright and simple atmosphere. There are French baguettes available. No restroom facility on site due to the very limited seating per 1977 law NY any food establishment with 20 or more seats must have toilets. New York University students can attain their food grub between classes or hanging out in Washington Square Park.More

My almond-chocolate croissant was the real thing -- I miss the French patisseries so much, but here it is in Greenwich Village. Bonus: There was a pastry-making class going on at the same time we came in. Envy!

This wonderful place opened right down the block from where I lived. Initally all the cooking and backin was done on the premises. Now since they have expanded to supply other shops and restaurants it serves as a stopping off place to get wonderful pastry...and coissants.More

This is my third time going to Mille Feuille for a class. After the first macaron baking class, I knew I’d be back. I attended the croissant baking class as well and it was even better. The chefs are so kind and patient. The place...is small but it’s nice. The perfect place size for a laid back baking class. It’s perfect for everyone in the family.More

A great class - fun but also informative. Vincent was an excellent teacher, and we walked away not just with lots of delicious macarons, but also the confidence to try them again at home

What a fun experience to learn to bake French macaroons in a sweet little bakery in the village. The cookies came out perfect with a bit of help from the teacher. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

My mom and I took the croissant making class on Sunday. The instructor (a young French guy, can’t remember his name) was sweet and took his time showing us all the steps. Such fun, and we took home nearly 50 croissants plus dough to make...more. It’s not a cheap class, but we’ll worth it. Highly recommend!More
