So happy I tried this modern Thai spot in the UES. The menu is PACKED (a whopping six pages), they have a section for ramen, fried noodles, rice, seafood, skewers, baos, and a ton of apps. My friend and I started with drinks and apps. The crab rangoons were priced super reasonably, $12 for 10 pieces, and were some of the best crab rangoons I’ve had- crispy and the cream cheese filling not too heavy. The Siracha soft shell crabs we also ordered were crispy and flaky. While drinks are normally quite expensive, their drinks are well worth the money; especially the lycheetini (which contained actual lychee pulp!). My friend’s strawberry sake slush was also pretty yummy. For the entrees, we ordered the Thai ramen w. crispy duck and ayudhaya soup, which was smokey and rich. Loved the soup! And the clay pot fried rice had an amazing wok fire taste and went well with the blue crab and pork. The portions were so huge we honestly could’ve just shared a entree. For the dessert, we shared a taro custard brûlée. It tasted so heavenly, I was tempted to ask for another. Food aside, the restaurant is well maintained, managed, and decorated. You may opt to sit either in the restaurant, at the bar, or outside (which I chose for the better lighting for my food pics, tho it was chillyyy😂). The staff are extremely accommodating and attentative. So overall, it was a 5 star experience for me.

This place is quaint but full of personality. The menu has so many amazing options and great variety, it was Thai food-elevated! The prices can't be beat-$16-18 for a HUGE bowl of authentic ramen on the upper east side?! I would make the trip out to the upper east side ANY time for this! We started off sharing the steamed chicken dumplings and crispy rice spicy tuna (legit to die for) and each enjoyed 2 cocktails I had the lychee martini and lychee mojito (ya girls got a thing for lychee) and Matt had the Bangkok Mule made with singha beer and a Mai Tai (highly recomend all four!) I've never had a real deal ramen bowl and green curry is my THANG so for me the Chiang Mai Curry ramen noodle bowl was an easy choice. It was packed with flavor & a whole leg chicken Maly husband had the Phuket Noodle bowl served with a spicy base, chicken meatballs and spinach. I've never had mango rice before, but always wanted to try it and tonight was the night This stuff is no dang joke LAWDD! We cleared our plates on every single dish and can't wait to come back again!

Bua Thai Ramen Robata Grill is located very conveniently right near the Q line. It’s a very cute place with great service and great food. We had lycheetinis which were really good and they have buy one get one during happy hour from 4-7PM. For appetizers we had the lychee rock shrimp which was really good and wasn’t overpowering as well as the sriracha soft shell crab which I actually haven’t had in other restaurants. We got the prince Edward mussels and the roasted chicken pad krapow which had many good flavors. Finally for dessert we got the fried vanilla ice cream. The flavors all tied in and there was no boring bite. Location, food, and ambience were all so nice. Can’t wait to stop by again to check out their curry!

BUA Thai was extremely clean and has cute decor with wall plants and hanging plants. Also has a patio, which seemed like it would be nice in the Spring. However, my food experience with BUA Thai was not as organized as I would have liked. When we arrived, I gave the name for my reservation I had for 2 weeks and they sat us at the bar. That is fine - was just expecting a table with my reservation. It took awhile to order 2 drinks. After looking over the extensive menu we ordered our apps first and a few minutes later our entrees through the bartender. Our entrees came out 10 minutes before our appetizers and we had to ask for someone to bring the apps out. So we had 4 plates, while we were sitting at the bar, come out at one time. The steamed Thai dumplings were extremely dense and the dumpling wrappers were thick. The rice under the super crispy rice was cold. The tuna on top of the crispy rice was fresh and flavorful. Not sure if this is because our apps were forgotten in the kitchen, but we did not enjoy them as much as I would have hoped. The entrees (Japanese ramen and clay pot fried rice) were tasty and the drinks were perfect. I also ordered a yummy Thai ice tea with condensed milk. Overall would maybe try it again but just seemed disorganized and the apps were lacking.

as soon as I stepped in, I noticed the dimmed aesthetic setting of the place. it was dinner time so it was busy, but my friend and I were greeted with smiles. the place offers a very expansive menu, everything sounded so good. for drinks we ordered the regular thai iced tea and then also the thai iced tea lychee. both of these drinks were so incredibly refreshing and paired well with the food. for appetizers, we got the fried thai country style dumplings and sriracha wings. these were both such unique dishes and were delicious. the dumplings are definitely one of the best things I've had. the texture inside was comparable to that of a meatball/fishball and was so flavorful! The sweet sauce it came with made it taste even better!! the sriracha wings weren't spicy to me, but still definitely worth checking out. for our entrees we ordered the shrimp & blue crab pad thai and a crispy pork belly pineapple fried rice. the entree portions were large, but we were able to make room for the fried vanilla ice cream! the staff here were all super friendly and attentive, they provided incredible service. I would definitely stop by here without a doubt! the service was great, the vibes were nice, and the food tasted incredible, I highly recommend this place if you're looking for an authentic thai experience (:

I came here with my boyfriend for dinner. The place was nice and chill, and had an antique atmosphere with a Thai vibe. I started off with a lycheetini which I loved!! I sipped it till the end. The smell of Lychee was my favorite. Not a big alcohol person but this cocktail did its job. For appetizers, there were so many choices!! We chose Sriracha Wings because we just love that sauce plus wings together was just obvious we had to have that. However, it wasn't spicy at all, it seemed more like a sweet and sour sauce, but we digged in anyways! Our second choice was Fried Corn because it was unusual and we loved it!! It had a nice crunch with it with the dipping sauce. The two entrees we had were chicken breast pad see Mao and roasted pork belly Thai Ramen basil. The chicken breast were really dry and the pork belly was really fatty. The broad noodles and the ramen were not what we expected from a Thai place. The broad noodles were very smushy and into small pieces. The ramen was the same in terms of texture, it was all in small pieces. I wanted to do a noodle pull since I wanted to do a food post, but it was just impossible. It wasn't possible to lift anything because of the way it was made. My boyfriend and I did not enjoy our entrees as we had a lot leftover. Wondering if this is because it was close to closing time? I think next time we would try their fried rice or noodle soup instead if we decide to come back. For desserts, we chose the Taro custard brulee. We waited over 10-15 mins i would say and my boyfriend wanted to leave because it took so long. But I insisted to try it. The waitress later comes over and see that we were still waiting and asked the other workers and it was a mess up in order and they forgot and will make it asap. So we waited. The dessert was really good actually, great presentation!! We really enjoyed it.

Such a perfect date night. The inside is cute with high tables against a wall of plants. We ended up sitting at the bar, which was still great- you could see into the kitchen and see your food being prepared. The staff are so nice and friendly. They even asked my husband if he was okay with spicy since he ordered a spicy dish and we laughed because he doesn’t think anything is spicy enough. The cocktails were sweet and strong, but that’s how I like them. The appetisers were great, I’m pretty boring and always get Edamame, but it was so good. The main meals came out on an extravagant tray and beautiful metal bowl. The roasted chicken was incredible. Melted in my mouth. I had the roasted chicken Pad See Ew, my favorite Thai dish - Bua did not disappoint, it was so delicious. The dessert was perfect. We were not going to get dessert as we were so full, but I saw custard brûlée and thought why not. Dessert was amazing and I highly recommend getting the custard brûlée, even if you don’t think you can eat anymore. Everything was presented so nicely, the staff were great, food was delicious, and it was reasonably priced. The atmosphere was perfect, not too loud, like some restaurants. Highly recommend!

I had a great experience at Bua Thai! I went around 5PM on a Monday, and the service was amazing. The ambiance and decor are great. It definitely works well for a date spot or even just for an intimate meal with a friend. The menu is so large that there is plenty to choose from. The food was most impressive! I started out with a piña colada which was perfectly mixed and so delicious and fresh. For appetizers, we ordered the chicken curry puff and the crab rangoons. They were so fresh and delicious. So many crab rangoons came with a single appetizer. We pretty much filled up just from appetizers. For the entree, I ordered the Phuket ramen with crispy pork belly, and my friend ordered the clay pot fried rice. My ramen was really delicious with a variety of flavors. When it first came out hot and fresh, it tasted perfectly flavored, but after sitting a while, it became salty. So, my advice is to eat it quickly! My friend ordered the clay pot ramen and commented on how it was so good. The portion size was so big that he ended up taking leftovers home. For dessert, we ordered the taro custard brulee. My friend liked it, but it wasn't my favorite dish. The flavor was good, but I wasn't a fan of the texture. Also, it was hard to finish because we were so full from the previous dishes that had such large portion sizes. Overall, we had a great dining experience at this place and would definitely go back in the future. I recommend this place for a great meal and dining experience.

This was the best Thai food I’ve ever had (granted, most of my Thai experience had been lunch specials of Panang curry or Pad Thai). This was also one of the most beautiful dinners I’ve ever had! The presentation of the food was stunning as you will be able to see from my pictures. The atmosphere is cozy and intimate; this would make a great date night spot. My drink (lycheetini) was sweet and strong. For appetizers we ordered the fried wontons and rock shrimp. The wontons were perfectly crispy but if I only had to pick one I would order the rock shrimp again. It came in a lychee sauce with a few lychee in the mix as well. The pad see-ew was good, but the khao moo dang was out of this world!! This was the highlight of the night for me. It features bbq pork AND crispy pork belly served over perfect jasmine rice and topped with a brown sauce that I could eat by itself. Sweet sausage and a hard boiled egg complimented the pork nicely. For dessert I had the mango with sticky rice, and I was too stuffed to eat most of it so they packed it up for me nicely. They suggested I don’t refrigerate it since the rice would get too hard, so I took their advisement, stuck it in my microwave, and ate it first thing when I woke up. Worked like a charm! I’ll definitely be back to try THEIR pad Thai and curries!

My friend and I headed here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Being Thai lovers, we were super excited about this opportunity! Ambiance: This spot is SUPER cute! You have a choice of sitting inside or outside. Since I visited in the winter, if you opt-in sitting outside, you are covered with a screen that allows you to stay warm and enjoy the sun. The inside is intimate and has great decor. I sat at the first table in the front so I didn't get to see much of the back past the bathrooms but the place is beautiful! There is tons of seating space and has intimate vibes perfect for a date, family gathering or a celebration. Food/Drinks: AMAZINGGGG. We started off with drinks, a pina colada which had vanilla ice cream it... like what? That's amazing! And a lychee mojito. Appetizers, we ordered vegetable crispy roll and fried tofu bun. The vegetable rolls come with six which surprised me because most places only give you two. The spring rolls were crispy and packed with flavor. The chili dipping sauce brought out the flavors even more. The bao buns were generously sized, crispy tofu with a soft bun topped with a tasty sauce...YUM. As an entree, we both ordered the Pad Kee Mao Noodles with tofu and eggs. When I tell you this was one of the best Thai dishes i've ever had, it's the best Thai dish I ever had! It was mildly spicy and the flavors from the peppercorn, onion, basil, ginger and bell pepper brought out the best of the dish. For dessert, fried vanilla ice cream! Service: Quick, efficient and friendly! Overall, our experience was great throughout our dinner. The menu was extensive, choices for meat-eaters, vegetarians and vegans there is something for all. Will I be back? YES! I actually wish I lived around the corner LOL. Thank you for such an amazing experience!

We’ve been to plenty of Thai restaurants, but this one hit different. My partner and I went on a Friday night. We were seated down immediately and the atmosphere was very cozy. The waitresses very helpful and attentive. We started with a pineapple margarita and a berry mojito. We’ve never thought pineapple and margarita would work together, but this was definitely an amazing drink. For appetizers, we ordered the Rock Shrimp Lychee and crab Rangoons. You would not believe how huge the portion sizes are. Even for an appetizer, it was quite big. The presentation on the food were exquisite! We loved the crispy curly topping on the shrimp lychee dish! For our main entrees, we ordered the Clay Pot Fried Rice. We asked our waitress what she recommended for a stir fry and she said that the Pad Krapow (basil) was popular. So we ordered that with crispy duck. Oh my, when the dishes came out, the portion size just amazed us! One of the dish can feed up to two people! We loved the sauce that was used in Clay Pot Fried Rice and the crab was plentiful. The crispy duck was super crispy and paired well with this type of stir fry. For dessert, we were stuck between the mango with sticky rice or the fried ice cream. But we were craving ice cream so we went with green tea fried ice cream. We love the batter since it was light and crispy! Overall it was beyond an amazing experience! We totally recommend to anyone visiting the city!

One of the best Thai places in the NYC. Located in the upscale neighborhood of the Upper East Side. After hitting museum mile, you will definitely get hungry for some delicious savory menu options that won’t break the bank. We were so impressed with everything we tried here! Thai iced tea and Thai iced tea lychee were both delicious and not too sweet. For appetizers we had the rock shrimp lychee and fried wontons which were so good! I really recommend the fried wontons, very crispy and flavorful and not oily or greasy at all. The rock shrimp was great too and plated so beautifully. For entrees we had the Sukhothai ramen and clay pot fried rice which were both so delicious! I had the ramen with organic gluten free rice noodles and crispy duck. The broth was creamy and tangy with a kick of spice and citrus and the duck was super tender and tasty! There were also homemade meatballs in the soup which were so flavorful. I thought the rice noodles suited the broth perfectly. The chef recommended claypot fried rice was absolutely spectacular! It was filled with beautiful variety of ingredients, my favorite being the blue crab and roasted pork belly which were both incredibly flavorful. The clay pot itself is huge so you definitely get what you pay for in terms of creativity as well as portion size! For dessert we had the tar custard brûlée. It was the perfect amount of sweet with a crunchy bruleed top and refreshing whipped cream on the top. Overall an amazing dinner experience!

Three of my friends and I came in with a Sunday 12:30 reservation for lunch. There were a few tables dining but it wasn't too crowded yet. To start, everyone got a round of Thai iced teas but I decided to go with the Thai iced tea lemonade because it sounded unique and I haven't seen this before. It's a cool concept but this was just way too sweet. For an appetizer, we decided to share the Sriracha Soft Shell Crab (crispy soft shell crab toss with spicy sriracha sauce). This was pretty disappointing. The crab was small, and barely had any meat in it. To make it look like a bigger dish, they put a lot of random veggies in there. Plus, the "sriracha sauce" was really just sweet chili sauce. For my main, I wanted to try the Thai ramen since it seems like that's what they're known for and I haven't really seen this dish either. I had the Phuket Noodle Soup (spicy creamy lemongrass soup base, served with crispy wonton, beansprout, spinach, scallion and cilantro) with the crispy pork belly. I thought I liked it at first but the more I ate it, the saltier it was. They do give large portions but I couldn't even finish because of how salty it was. The crispy pork belly was over-fried and quite dry. This is what I get for trying new things. Should have just stuck to a pad Thai or something.

This place is seriously so charming. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a hostess and immediately taken to a table. The service was timely and attentive. The food was moderately priced and came in huge portions. Great for leftovers. The plating of the food is quite pleasing, makes for a great photo. I suggest the pineapple fried rice. So fresh and served in an actual pineapple. Bua makes for a great date night, as the decor is very romantic and trendy. A true hidden gem!
