Lived in the area 15 years and somehow never visited - wish I hadn't left it so long. Had a great lunch here: salmon, beautiful potato cake and caesar salad - all for $25! Bargain! Really generous servings - couldn't finish the salmon or salad...- and accompanied by a pleasantly chilled glass of wine that was also great value. Everyone was super friendly and pleasant, garden is lovely and food arrived in good time - definitely coming back.More

We had delicious Salami Empanada and side salad and Pumpkin Frittata cake today. The hot choc was soooo lovely I had two! Great friendly service. Well worth visiting will definitely return thank you. 😃

We called for a late breakfast and were lucky to get a table. The reason why soon became obvious, with great food, large portions and a decent price. The service was fine and it was good to see staff engaged in non stop cleaning.

Lovely spot, outside setting BUT .... Over 1 hour to receive the food after ordering. No updates until we asked when we were told 10 minutes, we asked again when it did not arrive The egg whites was still jelly, well undercooked. The rest of...the food was average and overpriced for the standard. Customer service. What happened to apologising, giving a small discount or a cup of coffee while you wait.. Even water brought to the table would have helped. We ate quickly as we had another event to be at - we had allowed two hours at a cafe so we would not be late and it took nearly all of that. Two out of tree of us are local and won’t be back.More

I visited The Store and was super disappointed at the food, the service and the ambiance. The attitude of the woman taking our order, the slow service, getting the order wrong AND not serving the food described on the menu all made for a very...negative experience. If the actual food had been delicious, we could have forgiven all the faults - but the food (scrambled eggs looked like they were made from dried egg powder; 'artisan bread' was not 'artisan' just stale white sliced; the sausages were of the cheap, salty variety....I could go on...but I wont bore you). 5 years ago - we loved our meal there....has it changed hands since then because after a meal experience like that I won't be coming back. Big shame as every other meal we had had around Christchurch and South Island had been pretty darn good.More

I recently enjoyed a Birthday brunch with family and friends. This is one of my favourite spots in Christchurch. It was a very busy Saturday and my recommendation would be to avoid this day around 11-1pm as sadly the cyclists from town arrive and take...over. We were a group and one of the cyclists felt it was OK to sit on the end of the bench I was sitting on without so much as asking if this was OK. For me this spoilt an otherwise lovely lunch.More

Stopped for cold drinks on hot day, but ended up staying for lunch. Very nice dinning outside under a large shady tree. Varied menu, will definitely come again.

Food is good but the time frame between the coffee and food coming is too slow.On 2 occassions I've had to ask where the scone was.

We stopped here on our way to Akaroa and enjoyed a coffee and scone. The Lemon slice was great served with passion fruit. The store has a range of items I using Christmas decorations. Good toilets. You can purchase family sized quiches to takeaway on...holiday with you with is handy.More
