Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Eddie’s offers the only year round eatery in King Salmon, and offers decent eats in a rustic setting... the menu is considerable, and we found the staff to be friendly and helpful. It’s been in Bristol Bay for many years and is popular among the locals too... enjoy!

We had the opportunity to eat at two restaurants in King Salmon and Eddie's had the best choices. We enjoyed our burgers one day - and chicken sandwich/ patty melt the next (we split these so each had a half). The ladies who waited on us were running around like crazy, trying to keep everyone in the crowded room satisfied. They did a great job. It's truly a locals place but we were grateful for its convenience and food variety. The bar is adjacent with big screens.

We ate here because Katmai Air would not take us to Brooks Falls and could not get our group back to Anchorage any sooner than a late afternoon flight. Our server indicated that this was not an infrequent problem.
She took our orders efficiently. The menu featured American fare. Eddie’s Fireplace Inn served breakfast as well as lunch and dinner. The lunch / dinner menu offered a lot of burgers. Several of use went for the fish and chips which were OK.
The restaurant featured a long bar with a large fireplace in the middle of the room; there were separate dining rooms. Overall it was a cozy place.

The inside is a little dark but the menu has lots of good choices with more selection than the Sockeye. I had the 8 oz top sirloin steak which was cooked just right (medium rare) and fries. Service was good and I would eat here again. I would add that they weren't open for dinner and the hours were 8am-2 pm although I wish they were open for dinner. We got there a little after 11 and they just had stopped serving breakfast but the table that still had breakfast it looked good also

We ate at Eddies for 2 meals while in King Salmon. Of the 2 restaurants in "town" it is definitely more affordable. The food was delicious and had a home cooked feel. I had pancakes for breakfast ( huge portion) and the classic roast beef sandwich for dinner. The potato salad was delish!

Where the locals eat says something; great place for eats and drinks. Great friendly service. Not much to look at from the outside but it's what's inside that's important. Great food.

We stayed at the nearby Antlers Inn, and it is literally a rock throw from there over to the restaurant. We enjoyed good food, and the service was tops.

We got up early to travel to King Salmon and were famished by the time our plane arrived. We had a great burger and fries and they even accommodated by kid and her picky eating requests.

Can't beat a local establishment as a landing pad for the community. We met a great number of people and everyone was helpful. Despite being out of nearly everything waiting on a food truck - they tried t accommodate our needs with a smile! Grab a cold one on your next trip to King Salmon.

I had dinner here while waiting for a flight from King Salmon to Anchorage. After a long day of travel/hiking, this restaurant did the trick to satisfy my appetite before the flight. Solid portions, especially the fries. Staff isn't super friendly, but food arrived quickly and is reasonably priced. They accept credit cards and have live TV (Sunday night football). For a Sunday evening in King Salmon, Alaska, this seemed to be the only restaurant open, and was pleasantly surprised. In a "standard" city, this would probably be 3.5 dots, but I'd give it 4.5 dots given the remote location.

Eddie's was a revelation, a quaint American Pub within walking distance to everything in King Salmon. Food and service was excellent, and the atmosphere was also great.

My son and I had breakfast here one day. The food was plentiful and tasty and the service was fine. The coffee was quite good.

Ate at Eddies twice last week when enroute to a salmon fishing lodge, once after arriving at King Salmon airport and again while waiting for my flight out of King Salmon a week later. Both experiences were great and I absolutely recommend it for the hungry and weary traveler. The breakfast was hearty, and the coffee was fresh. The second meal was a hamburger dinner with fries and cold draft beer. I was really impressed by the burger -- though it wasn't cheap at @$12 (nothing is cheap in Alaska), it was really big, with fresh and generous helpings too of lettuce, tomato, and onion. And a very good beer selection, including Alaskan Brewing selections on tap. I'd definitely go back next time I'm in King Salmon!

We had a connection in King Salmon, so we walked to this restaurant to get some lunch. The food tasted okay, but it was definitely diner type food. If the server would have been friendly, maybe we would have enjoyed it more, too. She wasn't rude, but we were not locals or regulars and she didn't really interact at all with us any more than she had to. Sometimes, that makes the food better, at least in your mind. It served the purpose of getting a lunch while waiting for our connection, and we would probably walk back again if in the same situation.
