beautiful place,great staff,nice full bar,and the food was outstanding. It is a steak house but has a nice menu if you want other items.They had a special that we all got. Exept for two steak items you got a soup or salad,any other item on the menu,and desert for just $35.00.Sides are extra. Now I got a steak that was by itself more than the special and I got the best Ceasar salad I have ever had with real anchovies and extra dressing on the side. Great,could not finish it. We got calamari which was very good. would have liked it a bit more crispy.But good. Steak came out 18 oz. done to perfection and cut like butter. Oh,so good.Then we got sides,mushrooms,green beans,which we shared and it was plenty with just one order of each. Then dessert and I got the chocolate lava cake with ice cream.
Everyone took food home. My son Shawn paid,so thanks my bud.
It is a great steakhouse and we can not wait to go back. Street parking or valet parking at night. in the warm weather they do have rooftop dining and drinks.

A holiday pandemic! How to chase away the blues of this drag of a holiday season? Head to a fancy restaurant with the whole family to instill some cheer.
Alba looked beautiful! The windows were painted with glorious snow scenes and the inside was decorated with lovely holiday trees.
The food did not disappoint. We started out with the calamari and Mediterranean salad. The calamari was great. It was crispy and not too chewy. The kids deemed it one of the best. Not too many little squid like pieces either, more rings just the way we like it. The salad was delicious with a big chunk of authentic feta.
The meals were great. The chicken was delicious, tasty with a side of kale. Drinks are big and nice too not too much alcohol that you are seeing stars.
Now the only disappointment, the waitress was a scrooge. We could not get her to crack a smile, in fact, she seemed overall annoyed with us. We tried to instill some holiday spirit but no luck.
We have been tipping 50% during the pandemic as we empathize with servers during this difficult time. Unfortunately, this time we could not bring ourselves to do it. Next time you are feeling that cranky, call in sick! We don't get out often!

We went to Alba for dinner and we were not disappointed. From the servers to the food it was an excellent experience. I wish it was warmer so could be on the roof deck but inside was extremely comfortable.
We started with drinks then appetizers we had tuna tartare the tuna tartare was incredible, we also also had the calamari which was tasty and delicious. The only thing that could improve the calamari would have been a side of sauce.
For the main course we had ribeyes. These were cooked to perfection and extremely tasty. Unfortunately there was no room for dessert.

I saw reviews of Alba on Chronicle and decided to celebrate my birthday there. A group of us went there for dinner and it was a very pleasant atmosphere. Our server, Drew, was excellent! He paid attention, he came around often, got our drinks and appetizers then our meal orders. Despite all his efforts, we constantly had to remind him that one of us didn't get our drink, our appetizers and even 1 of our dinners didn't come on time and my friend had to leave early, so when his meal actually came, he packed it to go. We got there for a 6:30 reservation and didn't leave until 1/2 before closing time, not because we were having such a great time but because we had to wait so long for our meals. So Drew mentioned that he told the manager what was happening and he'll be over to talk to me soon. Well I'm still waiting. The manager was all over another guest though, maybe he was the owner, a well known figure in town....I don't know....but if it wasn't for Drew my birthday would have been a bust. Our meals were great especially the grilled octopus but base on service I dont think I'll be going back.

I have been here multiple times and sat in all the rooms and rooftop bar. The rooftop is very nice, with a full bar and tv, perfect for warm days. The two different dining areas in the interior have different vibes, one is simply a nice retaurant and the other side has a bit more of a bar vibe. It can be a bit confusing to find the main entrance as there is a big glass slide door that stays locked. The main door is on the corner. ALBA and Zef cicchetti are part of the same restaurant so it pops up as both when you search it.
The servers have always been attentive without rushing. The food was DELICIOUS. I'm a big seafood lover and the raw bar/seafood options do not disappoint. I can recommend Crab cakes and raw oysters for an appetizer. These were the best raw oysters I've ever had. For entrees I can recommend the Diavolo linguine and the grilled octopus. Both were very tasty. I highly recommend getting and order of truffle fries because they are addictive. It all paired nicely with a Chianti red wine. I will for sure come here again on date night.
Suitable for solo, friends, families and dates. More upscale and pricey of a setting but well worth it in the food!

Our server, Oleana, was incredibly efficient and caring. It was our anniversary and we were so appreciative of her efforts to make our meal the best it could be. Our dinners, rack of lamb and chicken were delicious. Our creme brulee dessert was one of the best we've ever had, and we have enjoyed this dessert in several countries and on cruise ships. After a couple of bites Oleana came back to be sure it had been prepared to our liking. We had chosen to eat in their quiet downstairs dining room. The bar and upstairs outdoor patio were more of a party atmosphere, but for people celebrating their 54th wedding anniversary, the dining room was lovely!

We braved indoor dining as it as 90 degrees outside. The website listed my favorite cod and mushroom risotto dish, and I was looking forward to eating it again. It was several months since we dined in a restaurant due to Covid . Alas, the evening we were there the menu changed and the cod was served with a weird clam, sausage, potato mixture. Yuck! However, the service is fantastic so we will return when the mushroom risotto is back on the menu.

Came here on a Friday night for a romantic dinner . Food was good but the music was way too loud could not enjoy my time there. Such a let down! Please turn down the music , you are a restaurant not a club

My wife and I, touring from New Jersey, arrived before the official posted opening time, but were graciously welcomed anyway. We were escorted to a window booth, where we were promptly served drinks and a nice bread basket. Our server Valki was efficient, as were the rest of the staff. We liked the restaurant's openness and ambiance - very relaxing and stylish. Our salads were excellent, both in taste and appearance; I had the Mediterranean and my wife got the burrata - beet varieties, blood orange, and hazelnut. Having had our full of chowder and seafood thus far on our trip we both opted for the Bolognese - house made ragu, rigatoni, parmesan Reggiano, and shared a side of beautiful asparagus. The Bolognese was wonderful; tasty and appealing. Fortunately, we were able to drain the dish clean with the crispy bread service. It was a great evening.

I was invited out to dinner on Sunday with family and we went to Alba Restaurant in Quincy Mass. I had never been there before. The restaurant has a beautiful and warm atmosphere.
We had an excellent wait staff, who were always very courteous and helpful with suggestions.
The steak looked amazing, but I choose by suggestion, the double cut pork chop in this amazing apple mostarda sauce w/mashed potatoes and roasted brussels sprouts.
I had a chocolate martini for my cocktail. I was in heaven. The food, the service and the location were great. I will go back again. Great fine dining.

Nice restaurant. Nicely decorated. Dark, not enough lighting in the joint. Can’t read the menu with the poor lighting. Not to mention the wording on the menu was very small. Had to bring up the menu on our phones from their website to actually read their menu. The noise level was so loud you could not talk to each other in your party let alone place your order comprehensively. With this I would have rated 3 stars but because of the great service from our waitress and the food being excellent, I will rate 4 stars. The waitress, Emily, was awesome. Especially when she seemed to be the only one working. Restaurant was full and she was attentive, friendly, polite and professional. We ordered the fish and chips and ribeye. For appetizers, we order the grilled octopus and calamari. All were cooked perfectly and delicious. The chocolate cake for 2 was amazing. The cake alone could have been 5 stars. Will definitely return to try out the other items on the menu and order another piece of the chocolate cake for dessert.

This place is top notch. We had multiple appetizers (all great). I had a filet and it was cooked perfectly. The espresso martini wraps things up perfectly.
The servers were constantly checking in but in a subtle way so as not to pester. All in all a phenomenal meal hence the 5 star review.
The only complaint was that it was over 80 degrees in the restaurant (it was about 90 outside) which made for an uncomfortable dining experience. Get that AC working better and you’ve got a great place to eat!

Perfect for a special family (or other) get together. We asked for a round table in the quietest part of the restaurant and the hostess was most accommodating. Service was good and everyone said their food was delicious. Ample portions. Not fancy or froo-froo, just perfectly prepared.

My wife and I went here last week and I am a foodie and I can tell you that I ordered the New York strip and it is probably the best New York strip I have had in the entire Boston area, including Grille 23 and Morton’s!
We were recommended by a friend to try this place and it did not disappoint! I also had the octopus which was so awesome that we are going back there tonight to try more dishes

I visit at Alba’s a few times each month. Sometimes for dinner. Other times to socialize with friends at the bar. This restaurant is clean, upscale, and homey. The food is excellent. The staff is very attentive and the owner is often present walking around. He takes pride in his brand. Worth a visit to check it out for yourself.
