The brisket was tender and flavorful. We also enjoyed the apple in the cole slaw and the bacon and sweetness of the baked beans. The star of the lunch was the pineapple sausage, a deal at a $3 add on to a meal. Too much plain rice was the only shortcoming.

HI-BBQ has something for everyone, including good pizza at its sister truck. We had a cheese pizza and the 18+ plate of three meats with rice, fresh house slaw, and a roll. The meat is enough for 2 and the pizza maybe one and a half. Nice staff and don’t miss the sweet tea. This is more southern BBQ than local probably. And delicious.

It seems everywhere we went someone was claiming they had the best barbecue on the island. Although it was good, I dont think it was the best.

I love their ribs and you will not walk away hungry. I always had leftovers for later on in the day. If you want good old comfort food at a reasonable price then this is the food truck for you.

Many come out this way for shrimp trucks, but mix it up and try this BBQ.... the brisket is sensational....the smoke flavor permeates the meat and really stayes with you throughout the entire meal...... the sign says "where diets come to die"... not sure about that.... but it is certainly an amazing (large) meal.... still smelling the amazing smoke aroma.

We smelled the deliciousness smoking as we drove by so we stopped at this food truck for dinner. The meats are smoked on site; we watched them load up the smoker for the next day while waiting for our order. My family ordered a brisket plate, a rib plate and 18oz meat combo. All of the meats were amazing! Tender and tasty with a flavorful BBQ sauce. The sides were really good too; apples in the slaw and bacon in the beans. All of the food was washed down with some good sweet tea. The service was great and there were picnic tables to sit at and enjoy the food. Definitely worth stopping for!

Went here with wife and kids, recommend the ribs and brisket they're to die for. I also got the 18 oz meat combo and it was amazingly tasteful

The BBQ was delicious and tender...we had several vendors from food trucks and this one of the best. The sides were okay but the meat was yummy! I would definitely have this again!

I have eaten there many times, and love it. We have taken guests there, visiting for the first time, and never has anyone not loved it too. You will not go away hungry, and you will be completely satisfied.

Stopped here on a drive around the island. BBQ brisket was moist and tender. Good taste. Service was quick. Large serving. A little pricey but would stop again.

Had the '18 and over' plate which was a great sampling of the brisket, pulled pork, and rib and we added on the pineapple sausage. Everything was delicious. On a side note everything was gluten free, if you hold the roll.

I've wanted to try this place for awhile now so I decided to stop by today and the ONLY reason I'm not giving this place a zero rating is because their food was decent. Not great, but good. I ordered 2 rib plates ($16 each) and 1 pineapple sausage ($3) the Hawaii GET tax was $1.79. They charged me 39.79 and I paid in cash. My plate didnt come with a sausage link. After asking for it, the sausage link was passed from cook to cashier then to me even tho I was standing at the cook's window. Aside from being over charged and the run around for my order their establishment looked clean and well kept. For me personally, I'll never return to a business that steals from their customers. The cashier I'm sure will pocket that money from his till at the end of the day. May you all have better luck than I did but I'd double check my receipts if I was you. :/

I'm sorry you got charged for 2 sides of sausage, if you are still in the area come by for a refund, also can you tell me what day this happened so I can explain to which register person on how not to do this again.

Hi-BBQ: BEST FOOD TRUCK in Kahuku! It is a MUST visit. Meat is SUPER tender and delicious. Baked beans infused with bacon and are to die for. Best bbq I’ve had by far!
