Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Just wanted to thank the staff at the ABC on the lower road Honokawai. In my 5 weeks on island we ate breakfast and got coffee's 2 to 3 times a week. It was nice to be asked by the manager if everything was good and how's the service at the deli. Well, I must say Edna in the deli was so friendly and always smiling and shes a great cook and the malasada's she bakes are delicious. I even tried a locomoco supreme , paliano style with one scoop of rice and one scoop of breakfast potato... my favorite! I wish we had an ABC in Canada! Great job ladies!

Great place to go for an early breakfast. It is located on 2349 S Kihei Rd, Kihei, HI 96753, right by the Texaco gas station. Inside the store is Island Deli that serves newly cooked breakfast. My favorite was the Spam Musubi, priced at just $1.99 each. Each one is glazed with their “secret recipe sauce.” I visited the store twice for breakfast, and even grabbed some to take with me to the plane trip to Chicago via LA. I also tried their egg and spam rice bowl, and it was yummy too. There were tables outside the store where I had my hot brewed coffee and Spam and egg bowl.

ABC Stores have lots of liquor and souvenirs at good prices. The Coconut Rum that was $36.00 in other stores was only $19.99 here. The snacks are good as well. The Spam, rice, and seaweed snacks (I forgot the name) are really good and less than $3.00 each.

This applies to every ABC store. NO food for vegans (other than macademia nuts and fruit salad) and made in China junk that nobody needs. Hawaii is supposed to be PARADISE but it's drowning in cheap chinese plastic tourist crap that is not even necessary on planet earth. Hawaii should ban this nonsense.

While staying in a nearby condo we stopped in to grab a quick beverage we found the most amazing thing. They have a small kitchen that cooks your breakfast or lunch to order. I was somewhat skeptical at first. That was until I saw someone else's order while I was watching the activities in the open kitchen. I got a breakfast burrito and home fries and was really happy. A great choice and made right before your eyes. And did I say cheap? A real bargain here.

The kitchen/deli was amazing with a different selection every day, including fresh salads and local grinds like chicken adobo, lau lau, spam and chicken katsu musubi, chicken long rice and....wait for it....prime rib dip sandwich that was simply scrumptious. Unexpected and worth stopping by to see what's coming out of that kitchen. Maria seemed to be there every day and I bet it was her Filipino touch on the food. All the store associates were accommodating and friendly! 5 stars for sure!

I like to visit ABC stores whenever possible. I like the Hawaiian lotions, snacks, such as macadamia nuts, chocolates, coffee, Trader Vics mai tais, and pina coladas, suntan lotion and snorkeling gear. Beach items and many other items, souvenirs. Go there. Prices are reasonable.

Found this near our hotel within minutes of walking and located within the shopping mall center. The employees are friendly and engaging. Prices are fair from souvenirs, clothing, food, snacks and beverages. Recommend stopping here while in the area for any basic necessities or merchandise

these guys have everything from reasonably priced souvenirs to medicines, candy, drinks, etc., etc. They do it all and they are on almost every freakin' corner...No drug deals going on here..these guys run a clean ship, and they are super helpful and get you through fast and convenient. it's a great go-to for a lot of little needs.

Yes the tourists are back, but you assume all white people are tourists. You had me stand at deli counter for 10 minutes and then waited on 2 local boys when they walked in. Let’s be clear, you need tourists. There are ABC stores all around island that are still closed. And not all white people are tourists and so what if they are. They are spending money and keeping you employed. Most of your Covid cases are community spread. I live here and hate to see the outright hate and racism. This is not aloha!

ABC stores are sprinkled all over the islands are ABC stores. They have all the touristy stuff but plenty of the basics you forgot or need. Buy your snacks, cheesy gifts or essential items. You can get whatever you need at ABC.

We shopped daily at ABC for breakfast, lunch, and dinner items. Wonderful muffins, good yogurt selection, best egg salad sandwiches, good fruit bowls and salads, wonderful shrimp cocktail, and great prices on wine. All you need for your stay so you don't have to eat out for every meal! Good souvenirs and sundries too.

While in the Islands for 11 days , we must have shopped at an ABC store at least 10 times. They are located in a lot of places in downtown areas. They even have some in resort areas, though not as concentrated. Some are large and carry a wide selection of food, clothing, drinks, etc..

This is the Wawa of Hawaii plus alcohol. this store is the best deal in town especially when there is no other deal but you get good service. They have a lot of alcoholic beverages, the same gifts and T-shirts and every other store it’s our go to store even for egg salad sandwiches. Yum but we did enjoy spending seven dollars instead of $70 at the hotel . Sometimes you don’t need a whole sit down dinner you just did something so ABC comes through from orange juice, milk, vodka, beer, and more and more and a free gift. Lol they offered me a free bag. I asked for a mug instead, and they gave it to me.

Sort of the Hawaiian version of an old fashioned dime-store. They have practically every basic necessity you can think of, including food. Lots of reasonably priced trinkets to take home to everyone. All are well kept, clean and organized.
