Great Chinese Buffet

Very nice lunch buffet. Reasonably priced. Typical Chinese food selection and a few non-traditional too. Desert selection, salads, and even ice cream. Very clean and nice service from staff. Great location and parking along street and lots nearby.

Good for what it is

I dont usually go to an all you can eat buffet for the quality of the food. That being said, it isn't bad. The won tons in the won ton soup were way too salty. Otherwise it is what you would expect. I would probably have given this 3 stars, but they had Diet Mt Dew, so definitely +1 for that.

Hotel delivery

We got delivery from this restaurant while staying 1 night in Charleston. It was what you'd expect from Chinese delivery. Our food arrived in less time than anticipated on a rainy Tuesday evening and was still very hot. I got my go to, Moo Goo Gai Pan, and it did not disappoint.

Don’t do it!

Roaches galore! I do not understand why they would allow that to happen to the public. It really is disgusting to even think about. As for me and my family, we will never go back there.

Worst Chinese buffet ever had

If you want cold food. No food. No vegetables. All fried. All fried with different sauces. Questionable looking meat. No selection. Neglectful staff not adding to food on buffet & feeling like you walked into the twilight zone—-This is the restaurant for you. It was dinner time on a Wednesday night. I didn’t complain when I paid my bill of $12 for one plate of lo mein & cheese wontons, because I just wanted the heck out of there. Don’t recommend. Unless you’re starving.

Always Fresh and Fast Takeout.

I generally call in my order and pick up instead of calling out for delivery. Staff is always nice and gets your order done quickly and correctly. Love their General Tso's chicken.

Great Buffet and Even Better Menu

This is my favorite Chinese buffet. The food is consistently good, but with frequent changes in dishes offered to keep things interesting. Highly recommended.

Cold food

We were in the area and decided to try this place. It was about 2:00 and there was only a few spoonfuls of food in each container on the buffet. The main problem was the food was cold or barely warm. Maybe if we would have been there closer to lunch the food would have been hot. But I don't think we will be going back. I like my food hot.

Waitress very rude

I used to come here quite a lot with my daughter. The food and service was always good and the prices reasonable. The last time our waitress was very rude. Won't be going back.

NEW Management has adjusted to excellence

I have been a long time customer at Main Tin. When the new owners arrived, I was somewhat disappointed in both the service food. I can now say that excellence in food and service has returned. My wife and I enjoy sharing the House Specials with appetizers. There are no bad choices on the menu. I have tried nearly all of them. Having spent much time in Thailand, I can vouch for their Thai dishes. What better compliment can be made beyond " It is just as hot going out as coming in". The pork BBQ rib appetizers are out of this world. The beer is very cold. What could ask for better than this "hot food and cold beer". Cheers.

Consistently Good for Many Years

The Main Tin has been a fixture in South Charleston for a lot of years. They have a very nice buffet that also offers sushi. The buffet is good, but ordering take out or eating in and ordering from the menu is, obviously, better. I will say that their won ton soup is my favorite anywhere and their hot and sour soup is a close second. The won ton soup has the richest broth I've ever had. The staff is friendly and attentive.

Good taste, good selections, good services, and good price are offered here. They seems to be here for good long while and also playing part of this community. I saw few pictures that indicates that. I enjoyed since a Vietnamese restaurant around the corner was closed.

We go there at least once a month. Wonderful food! They have a buffet with a great selection. Large dining room and friendly staff. Main Tina is the only place we will go for Chinese food!

Nice staff, very friendly the food is good but they don't keep the buffet refilled with food in between the lunch rush and dinner rush but if you ask they will fill it
