Wow I am so impressed!!! Stopped in to have dinner and since the new owners took over the menu, food quality and staff are greatly improved... being well traveled and a self proclaimed foodie my dinner was outstanding...home-made pimento cheese grilled with crisp bacon on.....grilled rye bread!!!! ...they have daily lunch/dinner specials posted on their Facebook page. Brittany our server was gracious and quick... ...the food was cooked perfectly no burnt edges or heavy greasiness...MOST IMPORTANTLY ...the resident had an excellant county inspection rating post by the front door... ...the bathroom in great shape .... I can't recommend it enough tell all your friends...local homemade food including pies and desserts!!! Look at the google reviews as well....

Nice diner. The usual fare - burgers, salads, soup - but the service is great! The staff is very friendly and attentive. Good prices, too.

Stopped at this restaurant for a late lunch and we enjoyed the food quality and the friendly staff. Food was fresh and tasty. Good visit.

Disappointed

A friend and I went to the Happy Days Cafe for lunch this week and I was disappointed. The staff was friendly and it was a busy lunch crowd. I first ordered chicken salad and they were out so I ordered a BLT. It was OK but nothing special. I did like the onion rings my friend and I shared. What upset me was the lack of cleanliness. I walked back to the back of the restaurant to use the restroom and all along the hallway the floors were dirty and when I glanced into the kitchen it looked messy and dirty. My friend went back to look after me and we both decided we will not return.

Don’t waste your time or money

We ordered hot bologna and grilled chicken sandwich We waited 35-40 minutes for our food. It was mediocre at best and way overpriced. We never were served a refill on our drinks either. Won’t be back.

This is a great place to get a burger. A nice clean facility, with friendly servers. The food came out quick after order.

Nice place to eat but pricey!

I wasn't paying attention to the menu pricing...bad move on my part! We had a cheeseburger, reuben, two orders of fries, two small side salads and drinks which totaled $28! Ouch! On the plus side: the food was tasty and freshly prepared and the service was very good. We were in the area antiquing and we always try to find local restaurants. If we eat there again we'll watch our orders (everything is priced separately, no platter pricing).

Great food, great environment

You walk into the restaurant to a warm atmosphere of classic dinning. The best part about this place is the hospitality of the wait staff. Classic southern women who want to make sure your visit it’s the best it can be. Food is great, flavorful and quick. Drinks never go empty and you can’t leave without getting some of the ice cream!

We love stopping here for a quick bite to eat. You feel like you walk back into time and the food is excellent. Plus, ice cream for desert...how can you go wrong? The ladies who work here are always friendly and kind. Chicken salad is awesome.

We used to frequent the cafe. Great home cooked food. Amazing staff and amazing owner! Tammy is by far the BEST girl I have ever had wait on me anywhere. Great for sandwiches, burgers, barbeques, and icecream!

I wasn't sure I would like this place. I was in the mood for hotdogs. To my surprise, their hotdogs are delicious. It's a great name too because all the staff is happy and friendly. Worth trying out! They offer a lot of different foods!

Stopped at this diner for lunch and we were not disappointed. Our sandwiches were freshly prepared, hot and delicious. The dining room was decorated with 60's and 70's themed decor. We'll return.

Cheap food

Not a very good restaurant the 50s theme is nothing more than a few movie posters on the wall and the food is very generic something I can grab from the grocery store and make nothing unique.
