This is truly a hidden gem. The food is delicious, service amazing and the atmosphere inviting. We met the owner and he is a super nice gentleman. He told us about his family coming from Italy and we talked about some of the places I visited there. The clam linguine is absolutely the most delicious I've eaten. Our server was friendly and took great care of us. The portions are large and prices very reasonable. The tiramisu is very delicious. I will definitely return.

Chanel was our server and she did a phenomenal job she was kind, friendly, and very attentive. She kept our drinks full and checked in on us periodically throughout on wall to make sure that we had all that we wanted. This was our first visit here and we will definitely be returning.

We had no been to Gennaro's in a long time. Our son wanted to meet here on his lunch break, so we joined him. They have added a small buffet ($13.99) since our last visit. They had 3 pizzas, salad bar, chicken wings, spaghetti, soup, & steak-peppers. They only had one server working & she was at the register as well, so took a few minutes to get waited on. I chose the salad bar because it is the most reasonably priced item on the menu. The pizza was hot, salad bar was fresh & tasted good. The first wings had been sitting under the heat lamp a while and were very dry; however, the fresh wings were very good. The spaghetti was hot, but nothing special. Gennaro's soup was hot and very tasty. The dining areas are somewhat crammped, but not bad.

Hubby and I went here since we're new to the area. He got the chicken piccatta, I got the chicken florentine and we got the cheese bread to share. I can't remember if we were supposed to get salads with our dinners, but we were never offered any, though the table across from us ordered from the same section on the menu and they received salads. Anyways, whatever.. The bread sticks were good while they were hot, as the cheese was still melted. But as soon as they cool down the cheese turned to rubber and was difficult to chew. The crust was excellent though. Now the meals... Well mine was so bland, there literally was zero flavor. I've ordered this same dish from Olive Garden and it was good there. Needless to say it ended up in the trash. Hubby's dish at least had flavor, but that was after he added some squeezed lemon to it, so I'm not sure if it had any before that.. if we visit again I'll be sure to avoid these two dishes.. and hope I get a salad with my meal as well..

We had another excellent meal at Gennaro's. The New Zealand Mussels are absolutely delicious. The portions are large and includes large portions of seafood. Meals are served quickly and piping hot. The service is great.

What a nice find in Moorefield! We were passing through and found this nice little Italian restaurant.
Service was great; we especially enjoyed conversing with the owner.
We both had pizza, which was very good.
Atmosphere is nice, too.

Three times, I have called and been told it would be an hour an half before they could say the order would be ready. Are they REALLY that busy? Have eaten there twice, when they didn't say that the wait was going to be 1.5 hours. Food was good. But 1.5 hours? Really? They didn't look that busy, when I drove by.

A nice little resturant in a very neat town. The staff was pleasant and the pizza was delicious even after driving 20 min back to our campsite. Makes great leftovers for the next day too!

BEST Italian sub I have had in years! Picked our lunch up. It was ready in a very reasonable amount of time. The Tiramisu was outstanding (They really have wonderful desserts, so I don't get those very often.)

When I go to a restaurant the number 1 priority is the food - this restaurant surpasses all Italian restaurants I have experienced - absolutely incredible - portions are enormous and superb - very small but clean dining room - the Italian owners (from Napoli) are wonderful - a must restaurant to visit ( and you will instantly become regulars!!!!!!!!!

We have tried almost ever type of pizza they have and 😋 is all we have to say. Also good salads and cheesecake.
