I really want to love this place. The owner and his family seem very nice. Their hand cut fries and homemade ranch are great. The food is usually good but it’s inconsistent and slow to arrive. One day it’s great, the next the bun is hard and stale and the fries are mediocre. With the exception of one waitress, the waitstaff is pretty bad. Sometimes they’re also running a daycare, and they need to clean a little better. Yesterday our waitress was incredibly rude and seemed to be annoyed and inconvenienced by any request. Like for napkins or refills.... For four of us, three of our orders were wrong. One member of our party and I had ordered the same thing but my bill was $26 and hers was $17...we didn’t have time to argue, paid our bills and left. The milkshakes we got to go were inedible and they are usually one of our favorite things. We won’t be going back for some time but I hope they get their act together because this place has a ton of potential! We’ll give it another shot eventually, but this last visit did us in for a while.

I stopped in for a late lunch. They were not busy, so seated quickly. My server took my drink order while I decided what I wanted to eat. I chose the deluxe double cheeseburger and onion rings. My server was too busy socializing so another staff brought out my food. I heard my server say she saw the food sitting back there but went out to another table. You need to serve food before socializing. The onion rings were tiny and not many for the price. The burger was large and tasted great. The bun was way too tiny and crumbled. I ended up holding the meat because the bun crumbled. A large bun would have been much better for the size of burger patties. May be a while before going back.

This was our first visit, but not our last. We were promptly seated by a nice young man and our drink orders taken. The sweet tea is very good. I ordered the NY Strip, mashed potatoes and onion rings. The steak was slightly overcooked and had quite a bit of fat, but still tasted very good. The potatoes were instant, but ok. The onion rings were perfect. The bread was stale/very dry and not edible. The owner spoke with us and was very cordial. Our server was attentive and very personable. I ordered a slice of homemade strawberry-rhubarb pie. The slice was really tiny, but tasted good. Overall a good meal and dining atmosphere. For the amount of food, the prices are very reasonable.

For starters, no one greeted us as we came inside. Then as we seated ourself at a dirty table a server finally approached our table. She first asked us if we wanted her to clean off our table, as if we wanted the table to be dirty. She barely cleaned off the table once we asked her to clean it for us. After she cleaned the table she walked away, leaving the dirty towel. Our food came pretty quickly but our order was wrong. I asked for a cheeseburger with everything except mayonnaise, and when i received it, it only had mayonnaise and nothing else. Whenever they brought our food, they did not know if the food was ours and did not tell us what it was.
There were flies everywhere and we soon realized that the napkin holder on our table and the table behind us was coated in a thick layer of dust. The only good thing was that the food was pretty decent. As we finished our meal another waitress asked if there was a reason for the dirty towel being on our table. In the end i would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

We have visited Moorefield the last two summers, and we have eaten at Grillin' Time Diner each time. We love the food, and the old-fashioned diner decor is really appealing. They offer lots of different options, and we have always been pleased with everything we've ordered. They have both indoor and outdoor dining. The service is relatively quick, and the staff is very friendly. This place is a definite must if you're looking for something good to eat in Moorefield.

We looked for a Diner for brunch while traveling through WV, and found Grillin' Time on a Google search of restaurants in the area. We were NOT disappointed! Service was friendly, fast, and attentive. The food was outstanding - we had breakfast - and all of it was delicious and well prepared. Portion sizes are LARGE - couldn't finish it. Coffee was never ending and very good. We saved this to our Favorites on our GPS to make sure we stop here again on future travels.

Love this restaurant. Friendly and attentive waitstaff. Very clean and comfortable environment. We’ve been here many times and everything we’ve ordered has been delicious. Has a wide variety of options to please all family members. We will keep coming back.

Great place to eat if you like everything on your plate to be burned got a burger that was like a hockey puck fry’s we’re burnt and soaked in old burned up grease I bet the ice cream was even burnt the food was terrible they also got all of are orders wrong

i owned and operated a restaurant for 25 yrs - they have a great location but the menu is very common - prices high and service inexperienced - would not recommend!!!

Came across this family restaurant while driving through WV. Family-owned, nice hometown feel. We both got hamburger steak which was great. All sides good as well.
