This restaurant is by itself in an area you wouldn't expect to do well, but it was busy on a weeknight. Food was excellent. Our server was stretched a bit but we realized that and were patient, she did pretty well despite it. Burgers were half price when we were there and they were excellent!

I was staying at the State Park and had done a little review of the area beforehand, so I knew that this place has gotten great reviews. I didn’t plant to visit, though, because I as staying in cabin and was planning on doing my own cooking. As it turned out, we lost power in the cabin and I ended up goin there for dinner. So glad I did! I had the whiskey medallions and they were done perfectly. The sauce was superb and kept the meat moist and delicious. The order was prepared quickly and brought to me plenty hot. Tim and Kevin, the owners, were warm and friendly. They work very hard to maintain a top-notch establishment and it shows. It’s clearly a neighborhood restaurant.

We needed a meal and there it was. My wife had meatloaf and I had spaghetti and meatballs. Neither were great but both were good, as was my wife's chocolate pecan pie. Service was very good, and the amount of good for the money was excellent. We would definitely stop here again.

We are out of towners staying at a local cabin. Not many restaurants around, so we thought we would try this. Great service. Yummy burgers. Everything hot and tasty. I think the french fries were batter dipped. Triple chocolate mousse pie. Two appetizers, burgers, and dessert and the bill was $32! Nice mix of locals and out of towners and everyone treated with a smile. If we were locals, this would be a definite spot for us.

We had a wonderful dinner here. I had the steak medallions, my friend, the liver and onions. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals. My steak was so tender I could have cut it with a fork (well almost). The side of spinach was done to perfection. My only criticism, I got a baked potato that was WAY over done. Such a shame to turn what would have been a WONDERFUL meal into a (just) good meal.

A finely run restaurant that knows what their customers want and always goes out of their way to meet or exceed expectations. Wide variety menu and great weekday specials and added menu for weekends. The "go to" restaurant in the Lost River Valley.

Stopped here on a Sunday Drive to West Virginia. If you are camping at Lost River State Park, fishing at Kimsey Run Lake, or just passing through, you MUST stop here. Clean, comfortable, casual restaurant with great food and good service. Prices are reasonable and portions are big. Our party of 3 had a mushroom and swiss burger, Lost River burger, and grilled chicken wrap. Burgers were big and flavorful, grilled chicken wrap was also flavorful and no skimping on the filling. We each picked a different side to share ... fries, homemade chips, and onion rings. All sides were delicious, and the onion rings were huge! Excellent sweet tea, as well. We rarely get dessert when eating out, but their homemade pies looked irresistible. We all shared a piece of blueberry pie and a big slice of cheesecake. Both were delicious! Atmosphere is warm, homey, and friendly. Waitress was very friendly. Decor is rustic and country, but tasteful and fits the rural atmosphere. Dining area and restrooms were both very neat and clean. Ladies' room is gorgeous (Pinterest-worthy remodel)! Outdoor scenery is pretty with views of farmland and mountains. Every time we drive through this area, I drool over the beautiful b&b next door.

While staying at Lost River State Park in WV recently, we asked if there were any nearby restaurants. We were delighted to find the Lost River Grill. If you’ve never been to this area, let me just say our expectations were not very high considering it’s such a remote, “Away from it all” place nestled in the mountains of WV. Wow! Were we ever surprised! People must come from all around to enjoy the nightly specials because it was very crowded on Tuesday night for the half price burger special. The food was delicious and service was top notch even with the large crowd. The owner visited our table both nights we ate at the Grille and we thoroughly enjoyed everything about our casual dining experience. Try it if you’re ever in the area. We can’t wait to go back.

The Lost River Grill is a must stop if you are in the area and at all hungry. The bar area is decked out like the old west meets 2018. Cow hide chairs, animal heads, photos and signs on the wall and an unending supply of fried pork rinds on the bar! What a cool place to stop and have probably the best melt in your mouth burger ever. The menu is pretty extensive for the area. We were there 3 days and ate there twice!

My boyfriend and a friend were in the area working on Saturday and hadn't eaten all day. We actually drove past this place and decide d to turn around and try it. I had the prime rib which was perfect. My boyfriend said his liver and onions was the best he ever had and my friend loved his ribeye and kale. BTW, the kale has a little surprise. Will definitely come back here.

My husband and spend a few weekends a year in Lost River. We always eat at the Lost River Grill, it never disappoints. This time we ate there twice. The buttermilk chicken sandwich was melt in your mouth good, as was the Rueben Sandwich. I would also recommend the French Onion Soup. Can’t wait to go back and try more menu items!

Called ahead and ordered the beer batter shrimp and french fries. I was very disappointed French fries were hard and cold. Shrimp batter was very dark and greasy. I thought I could put the fries in my microwave and warm, as I had done with leftovers from eating in, however they just got harder. They had been warmed in the oven and made hard. The shrimp I don't know what happened, it did not look like the shrimp from there before. Don't suggest carry out??

We have made it a point to eat here once a week. This is our go-to spot to eat out. Salads are fantastic! Soups and chili also a good choice. Their weekend specials are creative and tasty. The dinner menu is borderline expensive, but the lunch menu is very reasonable. Oh and the sandwiches, especially the reubens, are to die for. Super awesome staff. The TK lounge's decor is designed perfectly.
