BEST food and drinks in South Charleston

I come here at least once a week. They have absolutely delicious EVERYTHING! Bread baked fresh daily, bobba/bubble teas, fried rice and PHO!! Very reasonably priced and fast service. If you're looking for something new definitely give them a try.

One of the best Banh Mi I ever have had

I was just passing through town around lunch time and found this place vs going to some chain restaurant. I was very happy that stopped, my only regret is that I don't live closer, because this would diffidently be a place I would come too often. I would also like to say the place was very clean and welcoming. WOW what a great Banh Mi, lets start with the baguette. In my personal opinion It was the perfect Vietnamese baguette, light, airy with a thin crispy ,crackly crust, made into the perfect size for the delicious fresh ingredients to be nestled inside it. The only thing missing from the more traditional Vietnamese Banh Mi was a slight smear of pate, that I personally like. I also understand most people would probably prefer the pate left out. I tried two versions, the grilled pork and the lemon grass beef, both equally delicious. With that said they were still some of the best Banh Mi I have had anywhere including Vietnam. I hope to comeback some time and try the Pho, offerings sometime.

Had pork bahn mi for lunch here, and it was good, except that the toppings were not consistently added to the sandwich. It seemed carelessly put together, with one side of the sandwich getting, for example, more cilantro than the other side, and one half of the sandwich with no peppers, (It actually needed more cilantro and peppers period.) It was tasty but would have been more so if they'd taken their time to make sure the ingredients were well placed, especially since there was no line of people when we were there.

unexpected treat!

Saw "bakery" on my phone nearby to the mound, which we stopped to visit. Didn't give it much thought, and expected a regular bakery. It's Vietnamese food, and it's out of this world! Sandwiches are on fresh-baked rolls, but the insides are amazing. Recommend the lemongrass beef, but my husband liked the shredded chicken, made with fresh tarragon.

Could Not Stop Eating There!

Visiting on business and I read about this place on Trip Advisor. First day I went for dinner and I got Sliced Medium Beef Pho and a beef Banh Mi Sa. The next day I went for lunch and got the sliced pork and BBQ pork Banh Mi Sa sandwiches. For dinner I had Spicy Beef Noodles and their spring rolls. I loved everything I ate and I will return again next time I am in South Charleston.

Hidden Gem

Driving through West Virginia we found this gem not far from the highway. The pork Bahn MI rivialed that of any sandwich we have had. The sandwich was fresh and wonderful. The service was fast. The bread was amazing and the prices were very reasonable. If you happen to be passing through be sure to give this a try.

First time eating Vietnamese food

My daughter raves about this place and I finally got to try it. I absolutely loved it!!! Tried the chicken sandwich and pork meatball sandwich. Both were delicious. Best egg roll I’ve ever eaten. Sauces were delicious. We did takeout so I didn’t see restaurant. Highly recommend.

Bread is soo fresh! Sandwiches pork meatball and egg sandwich were light with a great veggie slaw I tried the Tea milk that came with tapioca bubbles. Very unique but I liked it Small, clean with friendly owners

Good Banh Mi

I went in based on recommendations from a couple of friends. The owners were fantastically polite and very helpful. I order the beef sandwich and it was very good, the toppings were fresh, the beef was good but not great but the bread was fantastic. I would definitely eat here again.

Banh Mi, That's All You Need to Know.

Grab one and some springs rolls and you are all set. Perfect Banh Mi and prices are fair. Place is clean and service fast. Order at the counter and they will bring out your food. Very fresh ingredients.

Amazing Sandwiches

Any time we are in Charleston, we stop here to get a Bahn Mi sandwich. The staff is really friendly and the food is always good. The price is also quite good and worth every penny. We also always buy a container of pickled vegetables to take home with us.

Quick lunch

I had no idea what to order. A friend said try the sandwich, chicken or beef. I tried the beef. Wow, talk about taste buds. It was like an explosion of flavor. I don't do spicy well. It had just enough WOW to keep you going back for more. The crusty French bread is just soft enough to enjoy, with a crusty outside. If you want spice, there are spicy fixings on the table. Thanks for the tasty sandwich. I will be bringing my husband back.

Not your mother’s sandwich.

A small restaurant where you order at the counter and the food is brought to your table. Nothing fancy. Vietnamese sandwiches, curry and Vietnamese drinks. My husband had the curry and enjoyed it. I had the chicken sandwich and our friend had pork. I can’t exactly tell you what is on the sandwich but it sure is tasty. One of the vegetables tastes a lot like jimaca. There is a sauce. Put it all together and this may be my new favorite sandwich.
