Dinner party at this restaurant. Friends enjoyed the fish and chips, ribs was delicious (recommended by staff). clam appetizer and nachos were great. If you're lucky, deer may wander to feeder for a picture.

Fish is wonderful! For Covid safety they provide patio seating. Very comfortable.
I made the mistake of selecting soup instead of the french fries with my fish order. I thought the soup portion was too small. Otherwise I would give a perfect rating.
The absolutely wonderful strawberry milkshake made up for it!

While I have been to this location before, I have never actually been in the restaurant. Honestly just thought the saloon part and the store were it. Guess I was not paying attention, and I also feel a little cheated. At an event, we had a free morning, let's go have breakfast! But where? So, while there aren't a lot of choices, we want to make sure we are supporting the local economy not driving into "town" when there are wonderful options right there! So, we settled on Gold Creek, and I am so glad we did. Again, I have stopped into the Saloon part, and had food - very good by the way. - and I wanted Chicken Fried Steak! Ok, we call ahead, as word got out that we were going to GC, well, our party grew from 4 to 14. They were so wonderful.
The restaurant is delightful! It is well decorated for a start, but there is outdoor seating (this time AC was the desire, not fresh air) waterfalls, and all sorts of stuff, it is just wonderful. The staff? top notch! our server didn't even write anything down, and didn't miss a beat.
Portions, definitely lean to the plentiful. Not one person in our group had anything, not even, oh, it was good but I have had better comment, nothing. Just oh my that was good, can't wait to be hungry again to eat the leftovers, and food coma nap imminent. I took 3/4 of my CFS home, had some for lunch the same day, and a wee bite for travel day bfst. AND the last bit for lunch when I got home!! It was amazing. Everything i had hoped it would be. My only critique..more gravy was needed. LOL. oh, there was an adequate amount for the CFS, I just wanted to put it on everything!
So, if you find yourself hungry on 410 around Nile, STOP here!! You will not be disappointed. Also, prices, especially considering how expensive everything is right now, are very reasonable.

this was our first trip since the pandemic and had read great reviews. what a disappointment!!! the fish was very small for the price and it was so greasy that my napkin stuck to my fingers. will not ever go there again. we spent $57.00 but when we got home I threw up and my husband took two doses of alka seltzer

We have eaten here many times. They have great fish and chips and you can often times see deer wandering by the windows when you sit in the back seating area.

Great Diner on the State road - we had a forest fire happening whilst there - so a helicopter fest going on.
Fantastic staff.
Reasonable amount of parking.
Good bar.
Excellent burger and sandwich menu.
Very busy - so not much seating available.
Looks like they have bands in.
Interesting cuttings on the wall, plus a good range of merchandise available.
Very clean toilets.

While camping down the road we ate here 3/4 of the days. They’re food was all delicious! BLT was amazing and the sweet potato fries are the best I’ve EVER had! And while you’re sipping your fantastic Bloody Mary you’ll also notice the great staff. Every single employee was friendly & attentive, it seemed like they truly enjoy working there! And I can’t forget the beautiful environment! They have a back porch that overlooks a waterfall with tons of beautiful birds and wildlife to look at. Then they have a separate patio that welcomes dogs and the servers are just as great to our furry friends! Lastly, the saloon is such a cool place, decorated and open with lots of room. Thank you Gold Creek staff for three amazing meals!

I’m really excited about the new owners of Gold Creek Restaurant, Amie & Jake. They really have their heart into this place. The menu is expanded, preserving the local favorites like Fish & Chips, mushroom burger and delicious bloody Mary’s. They started having brunch on Saturday and Sunday’s from 9-noon. 3$ taco night on Thursday nights (a good biker spot). Be patient with food service, they have a very small kitchen that serves the dining room and bar. The outdoor patio is open now so bring your dogs!

Under new management, the experience is getting even better with more option. Known for great fish and chips, but there are now a variety of different main course along with tasty daily specials. This last time we had a Rueban, a tasty pasty and the pork shanks were fabulous.

Recommended to us by several friends. We had a table next to the window to watch the waterfall and chipmunks. We ordered fish and chips, salad and homemade ham and navy bean soup. Our order was taken and served quickly by a pleasant server. Everything was very tasty. We were too full for dessert, but will try next time. Everything very clean including restrooms!
