Compliments to the chef on 24/10/21 - food was simply stunning. The seafood linguine was divine - even my husband had food envy, and he was thrilled with his sausages and mash! Great beverages selection and lovely staff.

Went for dinner with my partner. We ordered 2 mains with 2 drinks and 2 desserts and the bill came to about $150. The main's portion size was small although well seasoned with good sauces, not overbearing but make you want to lick the plate...clean. The desert was decent too with good presentation, the dark chocolate tart was a bit dense and heavy but overall enjoyable enough. Service was ok, although they were clearly busy we were never asked whether we needed our water to be refilled through the entire meal. 4/5.More

We were in Martinborough for two nights and had dinner at Union Square one night - nice setting with good value food and service. We will come back.

We were there for Sunday night meal and booked as missed out on the Saturday night due to not having a booking. I had the Pork Belly which was delicious and perfectly paired with the apple and arancini. Thoroughly recommend. Friendly service, prompt meals. Beautiful...building and restaurant.More

We had dinner with friends, who were staying there on Saturday night. I had heard good things about this Bistro but was very disappointed. It is very loud, due to the wooden floors and high ceilings, so why have music blaring out as well? We...like a place with atmosphere, but draw the line when you feel that you're eating in a disco! We could hardly hear each other speak, plus the waitress, having to wear a face covering, made it a total mission to discuss our menu choices. The waitress was lovely, but not very switched on when it came to the menu, which was a bit frustrating. Then the food. Very average. Portions small and unexciting. My garden salad was a bit of coleslaw in a very small bowl and the filling inside the Wellington, must have been a teaspoon size, if that. It was a shame the price didn't reflect the quality of the meal. The best bit was deciding to have our coffees in the Library area, away from the incessant din. I would not recommend.More

Visited on a Saturday night..place was pumping...nice atmosphere....food was just divine...bread, lamb, beef, burger and whitebait fritter. Could not be faulted! Our waiter however managed to forget our drinks order then a whole main..then as means as an apology offered the main and a glass...of wine on the house but never passed that on to the maitre d...so was a wee bit awkward when we came to pay lol Food was top notch..service was lackingMore

Our group of six friends loved everything about the USB, from its warm and comfortable atmosphere, it’s attentive, knowledgeable and fun staff, to the sublime food. Every item we tried was noteworthy and it is perhaps unfair to single out dishes, but the tempura nori...tuna was stunning, as was the twice baked blue cheese soufflé, the cassoulet and the fillet steak. Every dessert was delicious and generous. A comprehensive wine list added to the enjoyment of the food. This is a fantastic restaurant in a gorgeous, iconic old building and we would happily return on future visits to Martinborough.More

I’ve been here before and had a great experience but my partner and I dined here over the weekend and weren’t all that impressed. We were sat down and left unserved for half an hour until my partner had to go and ask for a...menu. Food came out in good time but one meal was very dry and average. Wait staff were inconsistent. One of the kitchen staff was out with the chef and had long hair untied down his back. All in all improvements needed in this restaurant, will come again as I hope this was a one off but service staff need to be better organised and cassoulet was over cooked. Hope to come again and have a better experienceMore

the food and atmosphere make for a great night out in Martinborough. I like to start my weekend here on a Friday night if having friends to stay for the weekend. The food on Friday was absolutely delicious.
