Family run restaurant on the beach. Really liked the style and location. They don't speak English but really try to translate the menu for you. Food is typical and really good for the price and place. Suggested if you are passing by!

The menu was only in Dutch as well as the service. In-spite of that, with our knowledge of German, English and platt Deutsche we were able to order a delicious lunch, a salmon salad (they did not skimp on the salmon) and a homemade beefburger. Very reasonably priced. Lunch for two with a couple of rounds of drinks each came to about 30 euros. Our dog slept under the table, something he rarely does, so he to felt at home. Loved the atmosphere! In comparison to the other Beach Restaurants this one had a quaint, homely and relaxing atmosphere. Great for refreshments only or for a meal.

We eat here twice in one week-end, once with a big group and we had twice a delicieus meal. Very nice vieuw at the beach. And the service was great.

The " Strandtent" has the feel of a real comfortable, easy going, cozy dive. It has great and easy wheelchair access or parents pulling their kids and sand tools in carriages. It's family oriented and with its large terrace and restaurant it can accomodate couples and large groups of family and friends. The food is good and typical dishes are cod and french fries. Bitterballen of course are ordered while waiting for the food to come. It is difficult to think not to have them as they are so typically Dutch and go wonderfully well with a glass of wine. The balls exist of a ragout made of veal and deep fried. It is a wonderful place for families with kids.

This restaurant maybe doesn't look that fancy like their trendy neighbours but the food is ten times better. We ate her twice with our family. The service is great. Everyone is very friendly. (At "De Toko" they ignored us completely). The food looks simple but is of great quality. Perfectly prepared fish, very good salad. This is one of the best restaurants of Callantsoog! Great value and nice wine.

We reserved a special dinner with the family. We waited for over 2 hours for the food. No excuses made, not a free drink or bread. We were not informed before that it would take so long. What a bad management!

Ate here twice during our stay. The first time they took the trouble to set up our table so we could watch the sun go down over the sea. Great place to eat seafood, but also has other dishes on the menu, including Weiner Snitchel with a choice of sauces. Service very good, reasonably priced.

Didn't make a reservation and still got a table with a bit of improvisational talent from the wait staff. Friendly service and a beautiful view over the rough sea. Delicious food, ample portions. The dogs were not forgotten and received a bowl of dog biscuits.
