Do not search anymore...if want to eat the BEST rice in the region come to this restaurant. Nice atmosphere next to the sean (actually you can chose one of the tables on the sand). Nice and profesional....Food is simply 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Beautiful location directly on beach at agua amarga bit , boy , do you pay for this location ?! Its a beach restaurant that charges top city prices. Essentially a tourist rio off. Food is ok but nothing special. Drinks expensive too - €2.50 for...a small tubo of beer on the beach ?! The place just doesnt have the feel of a good quallty restaurant. Prices are based purely in lacatuon , not quality of food offering or service. Aroz negro is €18 per portion- the highest price I have ever seen for this dish in Spain !! - and this is at a beach chiringuito! .More
Very efficient and good service. As we did not know what to eat we decide to order Iberic Ham and a local cheese. Too expensive for the quantity between 18-20e each one. Maybe the wrong choice. Tiramisu is very tasty except for the size.
In...summary too expensive for the quantity depending of what we ordered.More
Went for a family lunch. They charged 10 euros for a plate of tomatoes (1 tomato cut in pieces with olive oil). The tomatoes were pretty good, but 10 euros!!!! 18 euros for a plate of fried calamari (about 5 rings per plate), salmonetes also...very expensive (4 euros per salmonete) and they were not fresh. In general, the ratio quality/price was very low. Quite disappointed. They view of the beach was very nice. I wouldn’t go back.More
We decided to eat out during a very pleasant day on the beach at Agua Amarga and Los Tarahis looked like a good place to do it.
First surprise was that they didn't start serving lunch until 13:30 which by even Spanish standards is a...bit late.
Second was that a lot of the tables were reserved and we were asked to move and ask the owner / head waiter for an available table.
Amusingly we were seated only a couple of tables away from where we first went.
By the time we were given menus, the place was packed to the rafters which I took to be a good sign, mistakenly as it turned out.
We ordered drinks and our meals - two tortilla Espanol and a calamares la plancha and whilst were waiting for our drinks and meals (a long time as it happens) we made an interesting observation. The waiters were running - not fast walking - running between tables and the kitchen all under the direction of the hugely verbose and grumpy owner / head waiter.
He shouted directions at them like some sort of demented Gordon Ramsay, even whilst they were in middle of something else like taking orders. This meant that they were highly inefficient (not their fault) at the cost of service and apparently the food.
Our tortillas were obviously freshly made but completely unseasoned and the calamares was just grilled calamares although it was seasoned a bit.
It was all a bit unexceptional and disappointing and to be quite frank - bloody expensive for what we got.
It takes a lot more than just bad tempered shouting to run a restaurant and it would improve if it was left to the waiters to do their jobs and the grumpy old guy stayed at home.More
We had our dinner last night. We don’t speak Spanish so it was so difficult to order since they have a menu just in Spanish. But the waiter was welcoming and tried his best to help us. We ordered a grilled local fish and calamari...with a mix salad and two glass of house wine. The portions are huge and we paid just €51! Considering its spectacular position at the beach it definitely deserves a visit.More
On our last day in Agua Amarga we had lunch at Los tarahis by the beach and were not disappointed. Fantastic attentive service and delicious food. I had the Arroz negra which was absolutely delicious. The whole experience created a perfect lunchtime by the beach....Cannot recommend this place highly enough. Wonderful.More
