Margaritas is new to me and I decided to give it a try. I saw online that they had Happy Hour from 3:00 - 7:00. I started off by ordering the Happy Hour frozen lime margarita. I love Margaritas and figured the name would be...a good indication. Nope. It was a run of the machine Margarita. Not frozen. Very bland. For a Happy Hour price of $6.95. Bad start. They provided a basket of chips and brown salsa. Salsa is pretty important to my Mexican food and brown is not what I expected. I'm not sure what it was but I didn't like it. I ordered a cheese queso from the Happy Hour menu. I should have learned my lesson from the Margarita. The queso was thin and soupy and a very small portion for $4.95. For my entree I ordered the chicken fajitas. Excellent and served steaming hot. Rice and refired beans were tasteless. Very disappointing for $35 with tip. Service was excellent but I need better food.More

Really great food! We have found the food here quite good. Some of the best in Burke. A great go to spot for weeknights. Highly recommend!

We were disappointed in the food, having read such great reviews of this place. For curbside takeout, they did not include chips as most other restaurants do; but our main complaint was that the refried beans were actually soup. Not what we think of when...we order refried beans. The remainder of the meals were edible but not great. We will continue our quest to find authentic and delicious Mexican/South American takeout elsewhere.More

Local family owned restaurant that has a down home feel. Once you enter the doors you are treated like family. The service is excellent and the food and margaritas are so good. You can’t go wrong here, so many choices and combos as well as...daily specials. Highly recommend!More

What everyone else says about this place is absolutely true. My wife and I and another couple went here for a late lunch/early dinner the other day after bowling. We got here about 3:00. The chef came out to check on us. I had the...carne assada which I was expecting to be meat with tortillias . Instead I got the entire skirt steak, beans, red beans and rice which is more Salvadoran. My wife and my friend had the chicken enchiladas and the other woman had a popusa (sp?). All were excellent. For my wife and I for 2 glasses of wine, 2 beers, and a side of guacamole without tip the bill was $54.11. The chips and Salsa prior were also very good and the dip, rather than the regular salsa verde was a delicious bean dip. Highly recommend.More

I went w/2 friends and we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. One of my friends is allergic to cilantro. The cook came out and advised her which dishes were safe as well as which dishes he could eliminate the cilantro. The menu c/o both Mexican and...Central American food. I definitely will return to this restaurant.More

I had a really great dinner and had their special carnitas tacos and it was just enough and not stuffing and very tasty. I also tried their Sangria Twist Margarita which was refreshing and good.

Our favorite place in Burke. really broad selection including whole fish, and if you don't see something you like or want to try something new the chef will make a special order.

This restaurant just gets better and better! Enjoy both Mexican and Salvadoran dishes What to try: Chicken tamales (under appetizer or as part of a Salvadoran combo platter, cheese pupusas, bean and cheese pupusas, the Río Grande parrillada platter (serves 3). Drinks: In addition to...yummy margaritas, there are tasty non-alcoholic, traditional Salvadoran options, such as sweet "tamarindo" juice, other fruit juices (ask what they that day, perhaps passion fruit/"maracuya"--mmmm), or "horchata" (a sweet drink made with rice milk and "morro" seeds; it has sort of a cinnamon taste and is served over ice). Buen provecho!More

You wouldn't expect much based on appearances - just another little hole-in-the-wall in a strip shopping center very much like pretty much every other shopping center. BUT - they serve fresh food made to order, including delicious homemade pico de gallo. My wife had a...burrito and I had fajitas. Both of us were very pleasantly surprised.More
