Casual pub atmosphere; delicious salad, steaks, burgers, apps. Really delicious food. Friendly service although don’t go if you’re in a rush -- they are understaffed (as were all restaurants in the area during our stay.)

Went on a Sunday evening. Note that reservations are required! They were admittedly understaffed, and the waitstaff were working their tails off. But still very friendly and attentive. We had to wait a long time for drinks, appetisers, and then the meal. But we were...not in a hurry. We all (4 of us) shared the artichoke and spinach dip, and it was excellent and very ample. A lot more artichokes than spinich! We all greatly enjoyed our main dishes, and the portions were quite adequate. In fact most took home leftovers. The pork tenderloin was especially good. We may be back before te end of our stay!More

I had the salmon special which was excellent. The lemon pepper salmon was not quite as good but had potential. It was a busy night as most of the other restaurants in the area are closed on Monday and Tuesday but the staff was very...pleasant as they tried to accommodate their guests. Very local place with a real heart so I encourage you to try it. We will be back!!More

This place is informal however the presentation is classy. I had salmon grilled to perfection, real mashed potatoes and fresh broccoli and carrots. My husband had beef tips with vegetables and rice. We both had fresh baked bread. We are in Stowe for a week...and will be going back in to martells in three days. We have eaten in several places in Stowe and none begin to compare with the meal served here. And I will add the prices are reasonable. Suggest reservations.More

I was very impressed by the hard working staff - their positive attitudes, professionalism, juggling a thousand tasks due to short staffing… they were happy to be there and that says a lot about the management. I overheard frustrated patrons who were tired of waiting...for a table and the staff apologized for the wait and kept a smile on their face despite the frustrations of few staff members. The food was also delicious. I was just very disappointed that the $22 steak tips were literally 8 tiny bites of food. It was delicious, but such a small portion I thought some of our food was missing! Other than that, I was happy with our takeout order.More

We had a great time playing the Gregory J. Martell Memorial Stage in Jeffersonville. The staff were all pleasant and helpful and the food was outstanding. It's a great place to see a show, with a huge stage and a big field with picnic tables....We'll be back!More

I had shrimp scampi and the wife had Mac-n-cheese with pulled pork. Both were very good and the staff were some of the nicest we’ve encountered in quite a while.

It's off season here at Smuggler's Notch Resort where we are staying for a week. All of the restaurants on site are closed, so we had to venture out for dinner on the nights we didn't stay in to cook. So few restaurants are open...in the area at this time of year that I honestly didn't expect much. We came upon this place simply because it was close and open. Boy did we ever stumble upon a gem! We liked it so much that we came twice during our week's stay here. The atmosphere is very casual and you wouldn't expect the food to be chef-prepared. The menu offered a nice variety and there were nightly specials that we opted to order on both nights. They did not disappoint. It should also be noted that the service was great both nights. Our servers were knowledgeable about the menu and were very friendly. Hats off to them and the chef!More

We really liked our food except that we ordered bread with maple butter, for all the way home to discover we were given mayonnaise (after lathering and eating the bread) Haha - gross! Went all the way back and was given butter but had to...ask for new bread. Otherwise great service and food.More
