We were a group of 8 so it took 45 minutes to get a table. Our server was friendly but just seemed distracted. Maybe it was just a particularly busy day. The food though... Oh so dissapointing. I wouldn't call it bad, because you know,...it's a bunch of cheese, fried tortillas, and seasoned meat. But I don't think it would be able to distinguish this from the fast-food-like Mexican places you find everywhere. Usually called Rancheritos or Beto's. However, there is one big difference and that is price. La Hacienda has sit-down restaurant prices, but the quality of a Rancheritos. There is nothing that stands out about La Hacienda. I wouldn't advise people against it becuase some people think of it as some sort of cultural experience. But I will never willingly go back. There are way too many superior Mexican food restaurants to go there again.More

We ordered our food by phone to pick up. Food was hot and ready when we arrived. We ordered two combos with a cheese enchilada, ground beef tostada with rice and beans. We also ordered some chips and salsa. All our food was excellent! Perfectly...spiced, generous portions and so yummy!! During this time of Covid, it is so nice to be able to order for pick up. La Hacienda never disappoints!More

After going to the Aquarium, we decided to go grab dinner. We had to wait 25 minutes for a table, but on a Saturday evening I expected a wait. We had a great meal, and the waitress was very helpful.

La Hacienda is reasonably-priced, with tasty Mexican cuisine. As they only seat every other table, we waited for almost an hour to be seated. It was well worth the wait. The wait staff immediately brought drinks & chips and salsa, both of which were very...good. The menu has standard fare for a Mexican restaurant, but we found everything to be very tasty, including - Mexican Tacos, Supreme Burrito, Chile Verde Enchiladas, and Quesadillas. We received our food within 10 minutes of ordering. La Hacienda is reasonably-priced, with excellent food and fast service. We will definitely frequent La Hacienda when visiting in the Salt Lake Valley.More

One of my favorite Mexican restaurants in Utah. The chips and salsa are always great, the service is quick and friendly, and I can't stay away.

Visited with an extended family group for a late lunch during the holiday season. The restaurant location is probably its best aspect. It is very convenient to the freeway and local shopping centers, making it an easy destination for those gathering from further away (due...to freeway access) and also easy for those who have been out shopping or who work in nearby offices. Also, they are pretty family friendly and didn't seem too stressed by those with smaller children, older people, etc. So, pretty accommodating and welcoming of their customers. The restaurant wasn't particularly full when we arrived, due to the later hour. It took about 15 minutes to be seated, 15 minutes' wait to order, and perhaps another 20-30 minutes for food to arrive. I ordered the beef chimichanga and a smothered burrito. Portions were average size for the US, quite large for anyone who is visiting from outside the US. Taste was quite bland, presentation was just ok. I think the emphasis is on quantity, not so much quality, so if filling your stomach is your focus (vs enjoying a delicious meal), then you can't go wrong here. The restaurant itself was reasonably clean and decor was not bad at all for the price point. It's on the ground floor and accessibility is quite good for those with disabilities. Service was slow and inattentive, and easily the least positive aspect of the restaurant. Many people were in the kitchen, but relatively few were on the floor serving customers. One of the orders in our party (of 8) was wrong, not a big deal, but the orders were really simple. And we found ourselves waiting a long time for drink refills, more salsa, more chips, etc. Overall with the slower service and bland food, I can't give a rating better than average from this experience, but it might work for you, particularly if you're on a budget, are not picky about quality or are more focused on quantity. Service is patchy, but the good value compensates somewhat for that. Location is convenient and decor and casual atmosphere is genuinely comfortable given the price point. I hope this helps!More

Good Mexican Food, and you won't leave hungry. I got the Asada Burrito, and it was great. Service was very good. Restaurant was clean and pleasant. They had soccer games playing on tv, which was great, too. Reasonably priced. Overall great experience.

Great service. Try to arrive before noon or after 1:30 as lunch time gets pretty busy. I always get the lunch special as it comes with a free drink.

La Hacienda serves, good, classic, Mexican food. Three couples had a variety of food including chile relleno, cheese and carne asada enchiladas and tostadas and all were enjoyed. Service was efficient and pleasant. Nothing exceptional, but good dependable food.
