Despite the extensive menu I stuck to the signage and went for the tortilla de patatas with sobrasada and gouda cheese. Excellent. Not much more to say. There are lots variations on the simple tortilla - all thick 12cm diameter - and plenty of stand-alone...More

We tried several of the omelettes there. All quite good, I especially enjoyed the "Gallega" one. Mussels and Artichoke with foie were also very good. I'd recommend the place for the tranquility of its ubication at a shaded side street.

Stopped here for a quick bite while we walked around Salou. The waiter was extremely friendly and apologised for his lack of English when really it was my lack of Spanish that was the real issue. One we had our orders taken, we sat back...More

It was a decent restaurant and the food was better than most in the area. We had calamari, the local egg tortilla (like an up side down quiche) and croquettes. All of it good but lacking depth of taste that would have elevated it to...More

Visited as family of 5, 3 teens. We had Paella that was lovely. The waiter took great care in ensuring it was well served. Was large and tasy and worth the 20 min wait. Some reviews said to order in advance, however we didn't seem...More

Visited on the strength of the reviews on trip advisor. Although the place was clean and the staff helpful and prompt, the food was average at best. The squid was unseasoned, rubbery and bland - I certainly had better in Salou. The steak was well...More

We visited this bar 4 times during our 14 night stay in Salou. Friendly staff, always attentive. Lovely food. I had the goats cheese and bacon salad twice, it's lovely. Their baguettes are full of ham etc, and the bread is lovely. Their prices are...More

I often struggle with finding good restaurants when on holidays. Even with resources like trip advisor success is inconsistent. La Tortillita was a surprising success. Local cuisine, thoughtfully executed, pleasant, but not overbearing staff. We had the menu of the day, which offers remarkable value....More
