Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very good entrecôte for two. The dessert: crème brûlée was good as well. Only, the wine is al little bit nasty. So, keep it by coke or beer

Visited last Wed evening after a slightly tricky phone reservation experience - my French is limited and the person on the other end of the phone didn't speak English - but they were very helpful and spoke slowly to help me figure it out! We were staying in Le Bez on a ski trip, so just a few mins walk. They were doing a limited menu for Wednesday - two options for starters, two for dessert and a main course of porcelet - baby pig cooked on a spit over an open fire in the main restaurant. Very warm welcome when we arrived and English spoken by the waiter. Everyone arrived within about 20 mins of each other and then starters arrived all around the same time as the pig was being wrapped up and brought to the kitchen for carving. Each table was then served with a plate with a mix of the pig meat which was delicious, and the most amazing creamed potato in gravy (I think there was salad or veg also, but can't remember as it was eclipsed by the rest!). They also came around with seconds of pork and potato which went down a treat. Other courses were also delicious but the pork was the winner overall. Nepalese chef was very cheerful and friendly, as was the waiter and overall it was a really enjoyable evening.

It is a very good restaurant with the variety of local and traditional food with a slight touch of the Asian cuisine. The chef is from Nepal who is hot many years of experience in France before opening this restaurant. We had Cote de Beuf for two people. It was very very delicious and it was cooked exactly to the grade we asked for. The waiting stuff is attentive and friendly and you feel very welcome at this place. Thank you.

Could be a cosy spot but we were cold as the fire was unlit. Unfortunately, the fondue was the most bland we have ever tasted. Wine list dull and expensive for such a low key restaurant.

Ordered the steak skewer, very very tough. Creme brulee was slightly burnt with very little flavour. Very attentive service and nice venue but little attraction in the food itself.

The style of food is somewhat like an English "Indian restaurant", though less spicey (the meat momos are the dish with most chili, and not as hot as an English/Indian meat Madras). Some of the dishes are prepared on the open fire/barbecue at the back of the dining area, by the Nepalese chef. The waiter and the chef (French, speaks English) both go out of their way to make diners feel welcome, in a very pleasant contrast to some establishments.

Extremely warm welcome from the Nepalese/Franco hosts. Charming atmosphere and plenty of fondue and wine. What more could you want from a small restaurant in the Alps? We polished off some good ice cream and frozen nougat as well! Plenty of choice on the menu including local specialities and nepalese food.

Good restaurant for simple dinner, nice family service, accepts dog. Specialty is grilled meat on BBQ/fireplace, and they do it well (try the cote de boeuf or the brochette)

Went there as another restaurant was booked. Food is similar to other restaurants but with slight Nepalese touch.

A mix of great traditional French cuisine and Nepalese dishes, served in what looks like a refurbed cave in the hamlet of Le Bez. A really cosy comfortable atmosphere. Great steaks cooked on an indoor barbecue as are the traditional Nepalese sausages. the menu is quite small but varied enough so that there really is something to suit all tastes. The staff (both of them excluding the chef) are exceptionally friendly and attentive. It can take about 30 covers at any one time so if it's a traditionally busy (weekend) night then booking would be advisable. Well worth a visit if you are ever in Serre Chevalier.

Greated with a warm smile on New Years Day, the duo who run the place quickly stirred up typical mountain found with a nepalese twist. the food was brilliant and cooked with alot of love and passion. The chef, who is from Katmandu in Nepal has cooked in many places around the world and has now settled here, in Serre Chervalier. The hospiatlity was great, a slight draw back with the language barrier but they both tried their best to communicate with us in English and we tried our utmost to communicate back in french. Such a beautiful experience.

Everyone visiting Serre Chervalier should visit here. The restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere with friendly owners. The dishes are delicious. Well balanced and flavoursome. Good value for money. On my top 10 meals of all time! The steak on the open pit fire in the restaurant was my favourite! Amazing!
