Everything was well presented and served in one time use containers. Very friendly staff. Worth every penny. Plenty of to go traffic to keep the fish fresh. Lots of space inside if you want to dine in.
We moved from California to Texas in 2010. We are sushi lovers and found Daan not long after moving here. We were pleasantly surprised at the variety and freshness if the dishes. After 9 years it's still our go to sushi place. Most of the...staff recognize us when we walk in, and my daughter, who is high functioning autistc, usually gets a hug. We like that the place is quiet, and they don't mind catering to my daughter's special requests. This is hidden gem.More
I would say the place is acceptable. The Sushi is OK but not exceptional good. The atmosphere is as well not really charming and so I felt somehow not as comfortable as expected. Unfortunately in addition the service was on the lower end and not...really friendly. If you are in the area and you are hungry for Sushi so just go - if you look to get something in your storage and it can be something different so I do suggest you a different place.More
Tried this restaurant on a whim when I took a wrong turn. Best wrong turn ever. Sushi was fresh and service was attentive without being hovering. I made a mistake on my sushi order and, even though I said it was unnecessary, the manager comped...the plate. Definitely recommend giving this place a try.More
This was our first visit here and overall, it was pretty good. The rolls were a little smaller than normal, but were reasonably priced and were good quality and taste. We also had the Chicken Teriyaki and Bulgogi dishes that were nicely done. I would...order the bulgogi again, but I noticed someone got the Pineapple Fried Rice that made me a little jealous.
The tempura veggies were a bit over-battered and greasy. Service was a bit slow, but they were pretty busy, so this is probably not an issue most nights.More
Staying at the Embassy Suites near DFW after a cancelled flight and tried Daan after finding it was less than a mile from the hotel. It was very good. Sushi was good, the rainbow roll I had was also very good. Quiet atmosphere, fast but...not rushed service, good sized menu and great tasting food. I enjoy Japanese food whenever I travel and would recommend Daan if you are in the DFW area.More
