I recently visited Burger Island while on a business trip to Garland. The restaurant is a bit dated. I ordered the cheeseburger combo. The burger was ok, but the fries were under cooked to my liking. Not a bad place, but there are better options.

They aren’t the best but it’s something. If your near by why not give it a chance.. they are pretty good but nothing extraordinary. Burgers are all burgers. Not my favorite but it’ll do.

There lunch burger special is hard to beat but deal maker are their fries. It's my go to burger joint

Simple little restaurant (NW Highway location), but has great burgers and fries! We got the lunch special, burger, fries, and a drink for $7.50. Their burgers and fish sandwiches are very good. Service is good, used them for takeout. Food was available when promised. Their is seating available.

What can you say about a place you need to visit every week. Great lunch special burgers and the seasoned fries are wonderful. This is for the Buckingham/Garland Rd location

We love fresh cut fries and Burger Island has the best ! The burgers are very good but we go for the fries !

This is a dive with good burgers. Needs updating and kind of dirty but that is the definition of a dive. I would not drive along way to come here but if in the area it is a good burger and fresh cut fries. Don't...get the fried mushrooms. Not good.More

First, I LOVE this joint. Top choice for me is their Big Hawaiian burger, minus the dressing, of course. The only way they could improve upon it, in my opinion, is by adding a whole wheat or multi-grain bun option, AND switching to 100% fresh...jalapenos. They also have Sweet Potato fries, which I usually love, but I'm pretty certain theirs are frozen. Mine were over-cooked last time, as well, so maybe not the best choice. Overall, however, I have never had a bad meal, and will continue to return. I always try to take out-of-town guests here, too!More

I ordered the Junior Burger which is a good buy. It included a cheeseburger, fries and drink. This is adequate for this older person. If really starving, I get the regular burger. Great value and flavor. Granted the store is a hole-in-the-wall.

As I mentioned, burgers are just Okay in my opinion. (my biggest complaint is that I hate shredded wet iceberg lettuce on my burgers) however the burgers themselves are very customizable and they deliver to homes within a set radius. (call for details) Just depends...on what you want. if the lettuce thing doesn't bother you (It bugs me everywhere, even places like subway) then this place is defiantly worth try!More

Good burgers,good fries, co-workers and I enjoy it now and then! Dine in or to go ... both good. Neighborhood hole in the wall that we all really like.
