Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was our second dining experience and it was just as wonderful as our first 1absolutely delicious! We had pecan crusted redfish with shrimp, scalloped potatoes, with house salad! My wife and I dined at Blvd Seafood during out first ever visit to Galveston and loved it. We loved our friendly waiter Gilberto and took most of his recommendations. We started with an appetizer of their delicious shrimp with crab stuffing. My wife loved...her dinner, a combination of baked oysters and redfish. I was torn between shrimp and grits or the soft shell crab. Gilberto said why not have both? And pointed to a section on the menu where you could add one soft shell crab to any entree for just $10 more. I loved both entrees and was glad I got to try them. That was a lot of food, so we skipped dessert, but we left happy .More

On a rainy night in Galveston, I was looking for a good place to eat to satisfy my craving for a bowl of Gumbo and Redfish. The Galveston Beach area has so many good options, some I've been to before so I was looking for...a new place to visit and eat. I searched a few restaurants near the beach and BLVD stood out. The restaurant had great reviews, and the seafood items on the menu were what I sought. I arrived at BLVD and found parking on the street very close to the restaurant. When I arrived around 4:30 pm the restaurant was already filling up with guests. The host suggested the open kitchen concept for bar seating. I took them up on their offer. The restaurant is well-designed and has the feel of a bigger space. The bar seating lets you watch the kitchen make your meal from scratch so you don't have to be entertained by your smartphone alone. My server made some recommendations on popular items which I was grateful for but I already had made my mind up. My selections on this visit were the Burrata which was a special that night on the feature menu, and The Jobber which was their take on Gumbo from the Fin and Farm section of the menu, I chose the Broiled Redfish. The Burrata was amazing as it was made with firm beefsteak tomatoes and drizzled with some Olive oil, this made it a very good and still light starter. The Jobber, made with shrimp, blue crab, andouille sausage and white rice was a hit and I enjoyed the big chunks of andouille sausage, which made the dish almost a meal in itself. Last but not least was the main course, the Broiled Redfish, served with sautéd green beans on a bed of rice. The Redfish was cooked to perfection and made with BLVD'd blackening seasoning and cooked thoroughly right through. The fish was not too firm and not at all soggy. The taste was amazing and it was one of the best Redfish meals that I have had in a long time. My meal ended with the BLVD's take on Chocolate Mousse and very light flavorful dessert and a great finish to my meal. Overall this was a great meal, in a very popular and highly-rated restaurant on the Galveston Beach strip. If I'm back in Galveston anytime soon, I will go back for another great meal.More

Our Uber driver the night before, highly recommended BLVD Seafood on Seawall Blvd. in Galveston as a great place for lunch. We found out the next day, he was correct. A modest interior with very friendly employees. Like most places in the area, shrimp is...king, but lots of alternative choices on the menu. I got the linguine with creamy Alfredo sauce, cherry tomatoes and smoked bacon along with garlic bread. It put Olive Garden to shame! My wife enjoyed the fried chicken sliders and a side of coleslaw. Our server, Autumn, was exceptionally pleasant and informative. We will return on our next trip!More

We went for dinner and we're hoping for really good seafood. We were not disappointed. We had the crab stuffed shrimp. Excellent. Dinner was selected from their sampler list. The Blvd sampler (redfish, shrimp, and scallops) and the N'awlins sampler (redfish and shrimp). Both excellent....They came with Cajun rice and green beans. The beans were perfect. Service was excellent. They have a nice wine list. Prices were what you would expect ( or maybe even less than you might expect) given the quality. Highly recommended.More

Food was fresh and delicious. I’ve always wanted to visit and I’ve had many day-trips to the island, we used to live close enough to just pop on down for a late lunch on a sleepy Tuesday, but my husband always wanted his favorite pizza....So mom and I got lucky today. Staff was friendly and reading the dinner menu I was already planning my swift return!More

The seafood was very good and fresh. Great portions. We had stuffed shrimp and crab cake appetizers. For dinner we had grouper and grilled shrimp. Blackened grouper could have had more spice, but everything was very good.

Celebrating 37 years together on Galveston Island and being from the Midwest we are always looking for great seafood places. We looked on Trip Advisor and Google reviews and found BLVD Seafood was not only within walking distance but also got good reviews. We went...online and made dinner reservations for 7:30PM (it was a Thursday evening). We arrived a little early but there were plenty of open tables and we were greeted and seated with menus immediately. Misty Jo and Ainsley (being trained) were our servers. They came right to the table and poured us ice water while explaining the drinks available, pointing out the summer specialties and two Texas wines. I ordered the blueberry mule from the summer specialties and my husband tried the Texas red but chose instead the J.Lohr. The blueberry mule was the perfect combination of ginger beer and blueberry vodka and had an amazingly fresh wild blueberry flavor. And my husband enjoyed his J Lohr. The evening specials were explained to us - an octopus/ginger appetizer and an entree including Golden tilefish a light fish, basil mashed potatoes and broccoli in a roasted garlic cream sauce. I ordered the special while my husband ordered the wedge salad with blackened shrimp. Everything came out in a reasonable amount of time and was plated beautifully. The white fish was very light and flaky, the broccoli was tender and the basil mashed potatoes were like nothing I had ever tasted - absolutely delicious. The roasted garlic cream sauce was very smooth and not overpowering which I greatly appreciated. The wedge salad had sliced tomatoes, bacon, green apple, avocado with blue cheese crumbles and a blue cheese and balsamic dressing. The blackened shrimp that were added were the perfect addition to the wedge salad. The flavors all went well together and the portion was very good. When we finished our entrees were chose the key lime parfait which we shared for dessert. The layers of key lime, graham cracker crumbs and whipped cream were the perfect ending to our evening meal. Throughout the evening we were checked on and our water glasses were kept filled. The service was all around very good. The bill came to around $92 before the tip.More
