My husband and I feel Las Guitarras is the best Mexican Restaurant in Boerne! We have tried others, but it is so loud, we can’t enjoy conversation and food. At Las Guitarras, the ambiance is wonderful—nice music, good food and great Margaritas. What more can...you ask for.More
No longer have to go to Papa Nachos for good Mexican food. This restaurant in Boerne was really good. Everyone in our group was very pleased with their entrees. Friendly and fast service. Really liked the live music, especially since the guitar did not drown...out our conversations. The only disappointment was the chips and salsa. The chips were ok but the salsa was too thin and had little taste. In fact it was more picante sauce than salsa. Also tried the “hot” salsa. Hardly any different than the regular. Even with that I still gave it a 5. Will certainly return.More
The atmosphere is fun and unique. The food is outstanding! The salsa is the best I have ever had but I could also say that about the fajitas, tres leches cake and cream brûlée. Our experience was topped off with live guitar music that was...beautiful. Our server Martin was so attentive, we never had to ask for anything. I can’t wait to go back and try other menu items!More
Awesome mexican food and great service. I wish there was a place like this back home in kansas. Portions were generous. Guacamole was some of the best i had ever had. Limited parking though.

The family wanted to take me out for Father’s Day. Based on everything I have heard I chose Los Guitarras Covina Mexicans. Because it was Gathers Day there was a 20 to 30 minute wait. The hostesses were very organized and used an automated system....Today the restaurant served a buffet for Sunday Brunch. The spread consisted of Mexican dishes and American foods. The biscuits and gravy, waffles, and omelets looked good. However, I stuck with the Mexican dishes and snuck in some macaroni and cheese. Overall, the service was excellent. The waiter was quick to take our drink orders and he kept the dirty plates cleared. The owner, Fernando, came and talked to us twice. He was very nice and asked about the food. My family and I will defiantly eat here again and I will definitely bring friend to this restaurant.More
The atmosphere was great, live musician softly playing good music. Complimentary soup was great. The meal was top notch and service was spot on. My wife dropped her fork, by the time she picked it up one of the staff members was by her side...to take the dirty fork and provide fresh utensils. Sometimes it is the small things that matter. Boerne now has a great Mexican restaurant. The food is as good as or better than the best Santa Fe restaurants. The blue corn is cooked to perfection. You can tell a great Mexican restaurant by it's salsa.
The atmosphere and live music were nice. That's the good side. The 10oz Red Snapper dish was closer to 5oz than 10 and was as tough as leather. Before we ordered, we ask the waiter what the mixed vegies were that came with the dish....What he described was nothing like what we got. My wife ate the Snapper anyway. I had it replaced with green chicken enchiladas, which were good although the tomatillo sauce was a bit sweet.More
OK. So my Spanish ain’t so good. Yet I didn’t have to use it to enjoy the great service, atmosphere and food here. Carlos (I pray that’s his name) was so attentive and gave good suggestions. I love the fresh guacamole and thin tasty chips....Nice serving of rice n beans with chicken burrito. Just spicy enough. This was the first of my new annual tradition trips to San Antonio. We visited multiple times during our week in Boerne, and the food was consistently great. The manager and most of the servers were very attentive. We tried multiple dishes, the fajitas were our favorite. It was our go to location for a reasonably priced, tasty...meal. Definitely recommend.More

This place is so cute right on Main Street downtown Boerne! Cute on the inside. Customer service was great and they were really helpful with all my questions and on what to order. Food was really good as well. We ordered enchiladas suizas and enchiladas...poblanos. So yummy!!!More

This place is magical! Old world charm, warm atmosphere, excellent service and delicious appetizers, drinks and dinner! My friend and I came in from Austin for a weekend get-away and by far this was a highlight of the trip for us both. We still talk...about the chili relleno appetizer we shared and we want to go back…just for this restaurant. It’s a must-visit!More
