I recently spent 4 nights at Ridges Parramatta which gave me the opportunity to dine downstairs at the Stock Dining Room. The first night experience, was Grain Fed Steak which was a delightful dish, then the next three nights I stayed with the one excellent dish, Creamy Fettuccine, with Chicken & Prawns.
Great Chef was obviously talented, then there was Sandra the Waitress who very passionate in regards to the Restaurant & Motel. They were flat out with minimum Staff covering Room Service as well as the Restaurant, but you don’t mind waiting when you receive a very hot meal, cooked to perfection.
The only negative aspect which may have been a Motel issue, trying to keep costs down through the Covid 19 Period, but the Restaurant was freezing all week, maybe a ploy to encourage Room Service & “Social Distancing” I’m not certain but my advise is to rug up & chose the Fettuccine.

Good atmosphere, friendly staff and good coffee in a large mug. Just need some fresh fruit on the buffet each morning to complete the selection.

The breakfast was a delight with friendly service. My 9 year old wanted fried eggs (sunny side up) with sprinkles and was quickly catered for with a attention and a smile. We enjoyed a good coffee.

We had the buffet breakfast and couldn't fault it. The scrambled eggs were very tasty and not at all watery. The egg station chef cooked eggs to your liking when you wanted - she was excellent.

Sometimes you get a hint of what is to happen and you just don't change course. It could have been in the name; who wants to be treated like simple stock. Or, it could have been the time it took to take our order or the wait we endured before being served. How can you mess up a simple salad? Well you can forget the dressing or a piece of bread that is only courtesy. We were happy to pay and dash. I suppose the restaurant has the captive hotel clientele.

Had the buffet breakfast here twice on the weekend . Good selection of food and drinks. Well priced for breakfast. Also had dinner here twice as well. Friday night was the cafe's normal menu. Food was average , service a bit slow and wine by the bottle a bit pricey. Saturday night was their Fire & Ice buffet. $49 per head. A bit over priced for what you got. Imported Vianesse prawn, cheap Bassa fish and very over cooked mussels. Spent all night spitting out oyster shell. Must of shucked the oysters with a hammer. Rest of the food wasn't bad with a good selection for dessert. Had to pay extra is you wanted a cappuccino.

This is the standard buffet breakfast / dinner option for people staying at the hotel. The staff were friendly, and efficient. The menu choices for children were good, and well presented.
We enjoyed both dinner & breakfast at the restaurant.

Although almost empty, the service was poor the food was very average. The meal seemed like a freezer pack deep fried. The menu was very limited.

After staying at the Rydges for a while I have seen the buffet change a lot. It is fantastic with a vast selection of meats which can be cooked for you to your liking to a selection of seafood. An excellent feed and worth the price tag. Staff are always very enthusiastic and happy to help

Was going to cook for myself tonight, but too lazy so went to the Fire and Ice buffet at Rydges.
Entrees were a bit limited, but had fish, chicken, steak, prawns, oysters and bugs to choose from for mains, and plenty of deserts. Had a really good meal with no messing around. Can't ask more than that!

Overcooked, dry, tasteless.Very poor evening meals not worth the price tag. Service was great and dessert room was good.

We arrived the hotel at around 710pm and placed our order for food at about 720pm after a three hour drive. No food were served until 8pm when we only ordered 3 main dishes with no entree or other complications. Food presented in small portions and look okay. However taste very average. Overall, poor service, below average food and over priced menu. Especially when you are hungry, not a good choice. If you got a company card to charge to and a night to kill, not a bad choice.

We dined at Stocks about 9 pm when they were looking at closing i had a steak that was average but there was plenty of food to choose from although late. A workmate of mine who ate there the night before said the meal was great.

Great atmosphere first thing every morning created by the happy team at Stock. Having a resident chef on duty allows you to choose outside of the usual. Yummy ommeletes with a special most days. Great way to start your day.
