We ate here whilst staying in the hotel accommodation. There is a large restaurant area, which was very busy. We were fortunately allocated seating in the conservatory area, which was quieter. The menu provides a large choice, and the staff member provided supplementary information to assist with matching dietary constraints with each menu choice. We ordered drinks and food and the starter arrived quite quickly, but there appeared to be a delay with the main courses. This may of course have been attributable to the dietary requirements. The portion sizes were plentiful, but we would rate the quality only as average. The service was pleasant but we felt that the costs for the drinks were expensive. Incidentally our receipt states "No Allergens" in spite of some of the food being noted as "Allergen Mod"! Overall, it is not a restaurant that we would choose to visit again soon.

We’d been looking forward to a cosy dinner out with good food but sadly we were left underwhelmed. Our starters arrived and on one of the starters the accompanying rocket with an olive oil and truffle drizzle was inedible due to the leaves looking more like steamed leaves in a green blob. We advised the hostess who spoke with management, returning to offer free dessert. We were not going to be eating dessert that evening and so the offer would not be suitable upon which the hostess asked what we would prefer. We suggested that the affected starter be removed from the bill. Our main course meals were tasty, the steak was cooked perfectly but some of the vegetables in both mains were a bit leathery however were improved when adding some gravy. We chose not to make a comment about this and to instead focus on enjoying our evening together. On receiving the bill we were disappointed that no deduction had been made. At the very least a drink could have been removed as a token of apology if management decided they did not want to discount the problematic starter. Staff were friendly and restaurant lovely. A pity.

Visited early last Sunday evening as we were with family, the place is nice although it needs a decent clean and some touch ups of paint from what looks like water damage. We were seated pretty quickly, drinks orders taken but the menu wasn’t great, they’d ran out of loads of things and it wasn’t that busy so it was strange. The staff were ok, not overly helpful and when asking questions responses seemed forced. The older woman serving looked like she would rather be anywhere else & the young girl was more interested in eyeing up the young men in our party. Food was a bit meh, either under or overcooked & prices inflated for what we got, drinks prices were through the roof for some items. Wouldn’t return.

Long wait for food, very disappointing, overpriced for food ordered chicken pie arrived more like tartlet and only had vegetables with it which were cold. We all had the same and the two men ordered a portion of chips at ÂŁ3.00 which consisted of about 6 chips in small container. We all had the same because the other 3 choices we made were not available. All in all a very bad experience and we have much better meals elsewhere. The only good part was the waitress who for the most part was on her own and did her best to provide good service and was a very nice girl.

Have previously eaten here several times and enjoyed the staff and the food. BUT NOT TODAY!!! Called in for a coffee prior to taking a sail on the loch to be met with two servers who obviously considered customers a grave inconvenience. When I asked politely if there was any munchies (cakes etc) was told, without apology, “no food till after 12.” When I explained that I was thinking of a wee tray bake or something, the curt (actually quite rude) reply was “I’ve already told you, nothing! ”. Not even a “sorry” or a “”thank you”. While I was waiting for my coffee a few other customers arrived and both servers complained bitterly to each other “where are all these people coming from?” I assumed customers would be welcomed here! But if these servers are anything to judge by, nothing could be further from the truth. I am sure (or I hope) they are not representative of all the staff. If you want to make a good impression as a premier Scottish tourist attraction and persuade folks to come back this ain’t the way to do it. Doesn’t even qualify to be called customer service. We will think twice about coming back here.

Stopped here on a busy Sunday lunch time and the place was mobbed at the bar. Decent amount of people sitting at the restaurant and you could instantly see the two waiters running around the restaurant, very understaffed. We sat down in a lovely area in the front and the atmosphere was nice. They took their time serving us and apologised for the wait. We could see how unexpectedly busy it was and the staff were lovely so we understood. Ordered the £17 roast beef Sunday lunch and was expecting a nice big portion for that price. We were very disappointed with the portion as a few potatoes, very small amount of veg and a slither of mash was on the plate. I am not someone who would usually manage to finish all my meal when eating out however I had finished the full roast in minutes it was that small! The food was okay just seemed like it had been reheated and there wasn’t enough to go around due to how busy it was. I understand having worked in hospitality the stress you can be under however please don’t sit guests if you don’t have enough food or staff to provide for them. We were really disappointed with the food especially for the price and we left hungry! Looked a lovely area for a drink and would perhaps try again on a quieter day.

I am absolutely appalled at my experience, we were greeted by a lady with blonde hair who was very rude and abrupt when I asked for table. As we looked at the menu we expected high quality food which reflects the price of the meals. We were proved very wrong very fast! The girl with dark hair and glasses slammed our food on the table and showed everyone in the restaurant that she clearly didn’t want to be there! You could cut through the mash with a knife the meat was full of gristle and veg was so undercooked, all just come out of the microwave. Asked for the bill and card machine to which she put the bill on our table and just walked off when we was wanting to pay. Avoid this place at all cost as this was the service when they were quite never mind busy!

Booked a table for six people for Mothers Day after being down there a few weeks previous for lunch . What a huge disappointment waited 1hr 15mins for mains to be served when we queried we were told your order was lost. No one came over to explain or apologise for this when the food arrived it was cold and dried up, Such a waste of journey time and money spent for a special occasion only to be let down by staff and service. Stay clear will not be recommending to anyone

Not really sure what to expect when we arrived here as the beer garden was empty and only a few people inside. However we were pleasantly surprised. The mature lady behind the bar was very polite and helpful as were the other staff we dealt with. We ordered the ÂŁ20 sharing platter and it was very well presented and tasteful. Drinks on the expensive side at least compared with our area. Toilets kept clean as were the seating areas. It was lovely sitting in the beer garden booths between the rain showers. Overall a very nice visit.

Absolutely worst food I’ve ever eaten. 2 of us ordered mussels that were half cold in brown water. Either cooked in the microwave out a packet or terrible chef as the hunters chicken was also really bad, no flavour and hard cold fries. Plenty of other nice restaurants around the town so I’d advise to stay well clear of this one. Only plus side was the pool table wasn’t too bad.

We stopped for a Sunday roast on a day visit to Loch Lomond, and it was really busy as the Kilt Walk was on. The staff couldn’t have been more accommodating and friendly, despite being extremely busy. Our server was Kim and she was very efficient and helpful. The food was delicious, all three of us enjoyed the meal. A Sunday roast comes with unlimited roasties, Yorkshire puds and gravy! I didn’t think the giant pigs in blanket was very good value for money, but that is my only negative. Would definitely recommend and come back again

Sunday cycle to Balloch from Glasgow,23 miles and looking fwd to Sunday roast,it's a true saying that if you're hungry, you will eat anything.the food was absolutely shocking,I ordered two triple roasts at 17.99 and two pints of ciders.the bill was 52 smthn, anyway was told might be an hour or so that was okay I thought as it was quite busy and we were both hungry.the food arrived and we started to eat the food next minute the waiter appeared back at the table to inform us that he had delivered the wrong food to us????and then brought the two original order,we'll I should have as for my money back there and then,it was smothered in gravy which was all lumps not made correctly (being a chef myself)the mash had been over cooked in chef mike(the microwave).on Monday, I made a call to speak to management, which I did and spoke to Danny. Oh, thanks for emailing me back. Not so on my advice. Stay well away from the tullie Inn in Balloch for Sunday lunch .would be as well throwing your money in Loch lomond

We had a lovely stay at the Tullie Inn last night. We had a family room which was huge, one room with twin beds, one with a double and a huge family bathroom with big bath and a shower. The staff were brilliant, very attentive but not overpowering. The guy who checked us in also served our food and was very informative on both the menu and the local area. The food was delicious, you know it’s a good menu when you really can’t decide what to go for. Breakfast was served in the conservatory, I can recommend the Eggs Benedict. We’ll stay here again if in the Loch Lomand area

Food is terrible. I ordered the “ sirloin of beef” which was like a two day old plate of school dinners that was so dry and wilted even the smash was bad. My partner got the pasta dish which the sauce was like a jar of Dorito dip with sugar added. Shame as the mushroom bruschetta starter was great and the setting is lovely. Staff are great too. They need to change the chef. £44 for this?!?!?

The Sunday roast was exceptional and loved the fact we could have unlimited trimmings (not that we managed any other than a little gravy, as the portions were very generous!). Kim and Ciara took care of us really well and had great banter. Definitely coming back!
