A lovely pub serving tasty meals at affordable prices. Service has always been excellent and speedy. Visited the pub regularly, about once a month, before covid and food was always good. Last visited in September 2020 and everything was covid secure, had to wait at...the entrance to be seated, staff wore masks and made sure that only every other table was used so that everyone was socially distanced. Relatives have booked the function room on several occasions for large parties before the pandemic (about 35-40 people, could probably get 50-60 max seated in the room).More

Tuesday lunch time Just had a good lunch at the Hunting Lodge, all the Covid restrictions in place, met at the door and shown to our table, menu is on the chalk board so no paper menus necessary, orders taken by waitress with face covering....We ordered two 10oz sirloin steaks medium rare which came as requested perfectly cooked with peas, mushrooms & onion rings, well presented and reasonably priced. Booked again for Friday, would definitely recommend.More

Booked in advance as not sure what process was due to current Covid restrictions. But were met at the bar who pointed our table out to as and then all drinks and foods were served to us at the table by waitress with face covings....All menu options were on the chalk board by entrance. I understand this is as can not re use menus due to covid and saves paper on single use menus but did think this may cause people to group around this entrance area around more busier times. depends where sat and how good eyesight is (mines poor) to how well can see board from seat. Seated with plenty of room around us and felt very safe and secure at all timesMore

Great food, reasonable prices. Had the Cauliflower cheese with salad and garlic bread. Both very delicious. Desserts were also fantastic. Proper traditional desserts. Staff all friendly and very helpful. Nice atmosphere. Very covid friendly too, with distance between other diners. Will definitely be going back.

Had a lovely steak dinner, great prices to go again and again. Cosy rooms around the bar area so you feel you have you own areas.

Friendly and comfortable. We didn’t eat here, however the plates we saw coming out of the restaurant looked very scrumptious and plentiful!

My partner and I came for a roast today and can honestly say it's the best roast we've had when we've been out. Portions were extremely generous and all the food was piping hot and delicious! Will be coming back again for sure!!

Decided to come back again after eating here 2 years previously. It was absolutely delicious then, but this time was even more spectacular! Couldn't fault anything. Staff were friendly and extremely helpful. The portions were super generous and so so tasty. Can't wait to come...back with more family next time. 🙂More

Came back for a meal after lockdown and was met with a warm welcome, all the proper procedures in place to help customers feel safe, friendly staff and our steaks were absolutely beautiful!
