Wow what a great place to take my dad after his stroke. Excellent service from all the staff who went over and above to help us. The food was excellent although we only had the lunch menu I can’t fault the freshness and quality of...the flat bread with chickenMore

Cream Tea well over priced. Served in a box and paper cup with tea bag. £7.50 compared to the day before a cream tea at Saltram House with table service on the lawn, served on china with teapot, tea strainer and real tea just £5.50....Although this has a NT sign outside my understanding is that it is not NT and under private ownership. Jacket potato and cheese £9.95. Be warned you need deep pockets to bring a family here.More

My sister and I were very disappointed with our meal yesterday. Overpriced for what we had, 2 ham and cheese baguettes, £9.50 each, the baguettes had a small amount of ham and the cheese wasnt melted which it used to be, some salad, no crisps...which we used to have. From the childs menu, HALF a small jacket potato, 2 small bottles of lemonade, the total bill came to £30.80 ! The quality/quantity wasnt as it used to be. Will not go again.More

We enjoyed a walk along the river from the National Trust Parke estate near Bovey Tracey. following our walk, we called in for lunch at the Home Farm Cafe. Several people were already sitting at the tables well spaced out in the courtyard and under...the trees. There were couples, families, and friends. Dogs were welcomed and there were water dishes near the tables. We chose the buttermilk fried Devon chicken, chilli jam, and pickled red onions served in flatbread from the extensive menu for £10.95. It was well presented in a recyclable cardboard box with a salad and absolutely delicious. Everyone seemed to be enjoying the relaxed atmosphere and the food and I would heartily recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area.More

The courtyard setting is lovely and safe hygienic service was efficient. However I felt my jacket potato was very expensive considering how small it was, I have a pretty small appetite and still felt shortchanged. It was topped with a beetroot and feta mix which...was nice but the potato was dry as there was no butter. The salad was tasty and well dressed but it was all rather tricky to eat from a cardboard box with wooden cutlery ( all recyclable). I think if I went again I’d opt for a baguette as they looked nice.More

No chairs outside, just benches, and inside is still closed for some reason. Really uncomfortable. No plates, just cardboard boxes for food, plastic knives and forks and take away type drinks containers. (Why? What is wrong with washing china and cutlery rather than filling the...world with more plastic rubbish?) And you have to clear all your own stuff away and throw in the bins. All this and very high prices for average quality food and drink. Never again!More

The Evening Dinner at the Home Farm Cafe is just amazing. We found it a lovely dining experience which we would highly recommend. The atmosphere was so very pleasant and the Chefs passion to create the wonderful dishes was evident through each mouthful. The menu...gives you a chance to experience different dishes from around the world using the very best from locally sourced suppliers. The staff team were very attentive which added to a great evening. Well worth a visit.More
