We waited about ten minutes to give a drink order. Perhaps time moves differently in Ireland. When the waitress arrived at our table she asked for not only a drink order but also our dinner order. We ordered two glasses of Cabernet and a salad and asked that she return for our entree order. My wife had the seabass, which was very good. I ordered the lamb shank which was good, but I found the use of cilantro in the dish unappealing. We waited at least 15 minutes aftercthe entrees were served to order a secong glass of cabernet. The staff was friendly, but they are need of training. Total dining time was about an hour and a half. We arrived at the restaurant at 5:30. We walked from the Crowne Plaza, which was only a couple of hundred yards. In summary service is below expectations. The food was good to very good.

Myself & two friends ordered the prawn Massaman Curry, what a disappointment. It must have been the smallest curry I ever received. It was mostly filled with potatoes & chick peas , very little prawns . You think you are paying 14 Euros but in fact it’s 3.50 extra for the little amount of prawns we received. We ordered a apple crumble dessert but this was not made on the premises , just shop bought. Truly a disappointing experience.

We come here frequently as it’s very close to where we live. Overall, we often enjoy our experience at GFP. The atmosphere is pleasant, although the lighting can be quite intense and could be dimmed slightly. Food wise- what we have eaten is tasty, although as vegetarians we believe the options could be increased somewhat in a world that is becoming increasingly flexitarian. Drinks- decent selection with locally sourced craft beer which is a nice touch. We have noticed that staff turnover seems to be high here, and that does impact slightly on the service as some are clearly new and still gaining experience, but sure everyone has to learn.

Use to be my favourite place to go for breakfast went there this morning for the first time in months and will never return again place has gone to the dogs . First of all there were only 3 staff on as waited 15 mins before they took my order . Was a refuge man sitting beside me currently living in the hotel beside here so I presume his breakfast was free not that it matter but he said there eating his whole breakfast with his hands and stared everyone in the face my food came was so uncomfortable eating it so I left coffee was horrible use to be my favourite from here this place has really gone down hill will never return always paid €40 for two breakfasts that we did not eat .

It’s a really unfortunate coincidence that we arrive on the one day that the restaurant lost all of their seasonings, spices, and sauces. I guess that happens sometimes, but it sure made for a dry tasting meatball sandwich, and a cajun wrap that was missing anything remotely cajun-flavoured. I guess tragedy comes in two’s though because not only did they replace all flavour in the kitchen, but they forgot some basic culinary skills as well. They tried to toast the club sandwich with the light of the sun, a poor choice in this climate. The burger was just a fat sad meatball. Nothing I could say would cheer him up, though I suspect he was far too dense to understand anyway. The chicken bites were fine. I’d be really worries if they had somehow messed up chicken tenders and garlic dip. Service was slow. Tap water came out a good 15 minutes after it was asked for, and the bill was a long time coming out. There was a little place to wait at the front before someone served you, and we were stood there initially so long that another customer mistook me for a member of staff. Eventually we had to go and inform them of our booking. Maybe if I was working there I would make sure that people aren’t standing around for 10 minutes before I bent them over a table for a 13 euro sandwich that tastes like it would rather be anywhere else than on my table. Two pomegranate berries and a sprig of rocket do not make a sandwich gourmet. Anyway on the plus side our server was new but she was polite and nailed all the orders. The place looks nice inside. That’s a star right there I guess.

My daughter and I had breakfast in GFP Santry on Saturday. The place was very busy, we placed our order and waited 20 minutes to get it. The food was cold, and they forget to add the eggs that we'd ordered . They also forget the water . It was so hard to get someone over to our table, eventually a girl came over, we asked for water,and the eggs, again, the water never came. I called another girl over to tell her the food was cold and could we have water. She didn't bring any water either. 3 different staff members were asked for water, which we never got. GFP is expensive enough, so to get such poor service and cold food, is totally unacceptable. Safe to say we will not be returning or recommending here to anyone.

My daughter decided she wanted a low key baby shower brunch with some close family and friends. We were warmly greeted by staff and they couldn't have been nicer. Food was lovely and great service. They were very accommodating in letting me bring a birthday cake in for my daughter and supplies plates to serve the cake. My daughter got to open her gifts there and we weren't rushed out at all. Everyone enjoyed the day so thank you to the staff of Gourmet Food Parlour, Santry.

This is a lovely well positioned spot in Santry with the benefit of ample off-street parking, which is what tempted us to call in and grab a bit of lunch. We both ordered the standard burger which came with a portion of very tasty chips. My Burger was absolutely delicious and I polished it off. However, my Wife wasn't eating hers as she thought the burger was very tough...she gave me over half the burger to try and it was just terrible!. Why mine was so nice and hers was like a rock ....I can only guess?? I would think hers must have been lying up for a while before being served. I probably should have complained ....but at that stage most of the burger was eaten! This is a pity, it is a very nice relaxed environment with good friendly service and sorry to have to say it, but it has put us off returning again. Les Doyle.

I visited with 3 friends on Monday 31st October. Our order was taken straight away. We ordered a sharing cocktail and two juices as drinks. Our food arrived promptly but we still had no drinks. We asked the waitress if she could check on the drinks for us and she said she would. Our drinks still never arrived. When our waiter checked if everything was okay with the food, we once again asked if our drinks were on the way. At this point a manager appeared to tell us our drinks order had gone missing and she would get them for us as soon as possible and we would not have to pay for them. 30 minutes had gone by since we ordered and we still received no drinks. The sharing cocktail and one juice then arrived (our food was almost finished at this stage) and we reminded the waiter that we were missing one juice. He responded saying he would get it. 10 minutes went by and the juice did not appear. We asked another waiter. He then brought the wrong juice. When it eventually arrived, our food had been cleared away. It was 45 minutes from when we arrived to when we received all of our drinks. The waiter serving our table was far from apologetic and we felt all off the staff members were very insincere in their apologies. We were then given dessert menus and nobody came to take our dessert order. I also asked two separate staff members for garlic mayonnaise which never came. Overall the service was extremely poor and the staff were not helpful. Although we did not have to pay for our drinks, we felt our lunch was spoiled as we had to ask for our drinks many times before they came. There seemed to be a severe lack of organisation. We noticed tables around us sending food back and also receiving free drinks for mistakes being made. The food and setting is lovely but was severely let down by poor service and lack of management.

It was the Absolute BEST catering that my department in Trinity College Dublin has ever ordered from an external supplier. The Gourmet Food Parlour has now officially become my go-to company for any corporate or personal events. The salads were outstanding (guests came back for 2-3 extra portions!), the salad dressings – to die for. Seriously, how do you guys compose them! Portions were huge and a rich selection of sandwiches, buns & wraps (meaty/veg/egg etc) were so nicely prepared and so delicious, while the meat platter was gone within minutes. I can't pick and choose which food was my favourite because everything was so good! The delivery was great, dealing with Carmel and Dylan from their office was superb and so easy. I highly recommend this catering supplier to anyone!

We had an evening staff get together for 30+ people and were charged roughly 40 eur per person for a meal. Meal was served from 8.30 and without any notice to the party, on the evening, the bar was closed at approx 10pm. Staff were already hoovering and closing up downstairs by 10.45. I have never been in a restaurant, having taken at least 1,200eur food tab not counting wine, cocktails beers etc x 30 people that refused to serve any drink after 10pm. Staff, in fairness, were polite in trying to defend an indefensible position, If you are planning a work or private evening event, Xmas party etc and believe it is reasonable to expect to be able be to order a drink past 10pm, having already incurred a substantial food and drinks bill, then avoid this place like the plague.

Arrived at 3.45pm today and we were immediately brought to a nice table but unfortunately our experience went downhill from there . Firstly let me say there was very few people there with most tables empty so the staff certainly can’t say they were busy but we were left 20 minutes with nobody coming to us even to ask what we would like to drink never mind take our order for food . After the 20 minutes waiting we just decided to leave and the staff just looked at us and made no attempt to even ask why ………

I work in a local organisation for individuals with intellectual disabilities, I visited the restaurant last week for brunch, food is amazing & service was fantastic, a special shout out to Claudia as she was fantastic with the service users ensuring all our need were met & any changes we requested to dishes like swapping bacon for sausage ect was all catered for. One of the group spilled his coke & I was amazed how quick the staff cleaned the spillage & also replacing the drink. Definitely recommend 👌

We where here the other day and I couldn’t fault the service from start to finish the person who greeted us at the door was very welcoming and very friendly it was a busy Monday and we had not made a reservation, but that wasn’t an issue. We found all start to be very cheery and happy and the food was very tasty with my wife enjoying the quesadilla and my soup and sandwich very nice portions are a great size aswell. The team there are so nice and very friendly made our bank holiday Monday

I went to GFP Santry on 17th March 2020 to get some takeaway lunch with my boyfriend. While waiting in the que to pay we saw a red haired waitress come out and speak so rudely to a customer who had been waiting on his coffees for 30 minutes. She showed no standard of customer service and was basically giving out to him in front of the waiting customers when it was an error on GFP side. Little did we realise we were soon to receive the same. We ordered together on the same docket and another lady processed our order. When it came to paying she returned with two separate receipts. We planned to claim our tax back on the ‘stay and spend’ scheme. We kindly asked for our order to be put on the same receipt as it has to be over €25 to claim. Ours each was €15 so no good to claim back. We decided to avail of this wonderful government incentive and hence why we chose GFP that day. The lady told us it was not possible and then the red haired waitress returned to rudely say we should have told them we wanted them all on the same docket in advance when we put our order in together? In the end the lady was making a scene in front of other customers waiting outside so we left without our matter solved which was an error on their part. After waiting an hour for our food they simply did not want to sort this problem out on their side. I would recommend food from this restaurant as it was fabulous but unfortunately on account of the customer service I received and witnessed I will not be returning.
