Great BBQ

We stopped at Holy Smokes BBQ in Tennessee in Chapel Hill, TN as drove through. My wife and I both had a pulled pork plate with fries and cole slaw. We thought the $8.99 price each was very inexpensive and each dis was delicious. Service was excellent and the restaurant had outdoor seating. If you are driving through Chapel Hill stop at Holy Smokes BBQ. You won’t be disappointed!

Great spot!

Found this place on way to camp at Henry Horton State Park. It was terrific!! Great lean pulled pork with good sauces, piping hot fries, tasty baked beans. Portions were generous so we left very satisfied. No room for great looking banana pudding so may have to go back before we leave.

Good simple food

Ordered a combo ribs and brisket. Ribs were very tender and good but the brisket won us over! Understandably why they are listed first. Highly recommend this little shack

Tried their brisket . . .

Went there about 11:15 am today (Wed). I had gone a couple of times before in hopes of trying their brisket, but they were out each time. So, on this day, they had some. The price? $24.99 per pound! Holy Smokes - they are proud of it, so I order a quarter pound, and am I ever glad I didn't order more. It is the poorest excuse for brisket I have ever experienced! I am amazed that they sell this stuff out and in other reviews people say they love it. I grew up in Texas where brisket is very common, so if you can't deliver really good brisket, business won't be good. Jim 'N Nick's in Cool Springs has really great brisket at $20.99 per pound.

I stopped here recently for lunch. I had a cheeseburger, fries, dessert and a drink. The food arrived quickly, probably too quickly because it was obviously pre-cooked and reheated. The burger was slathered with yellow mustard and onions, so I really couldn't judge the flavor. The fries were just ok. They were covered with some kind of seasoning salt, so again, I couldn't detect much actual flavor. The banana pudding was good. The fountain drinks are filled up behind the counter and nobody came to the table again to ask if I wanted a refill. All in all, this was just an average place to eat. Maybe they are better at BBQ...I hope so. The bill for one person came to over $23 including the tip, which is pricy for the quality of food I received.

We tried to eat here at 7:30 last Saturday night and this restaurant is closed. VERY DISAPPOINTED but do not know if it was even worth it.

Absolutely the best BBQ in Marshall and surrounding counties. Great smoked flavor and Sauce is awesome. Family owned and operated with that family atmosphere . Great variety on menu to find something for everyone’s taste buds.

WE have to stop here every year we pass through Chapel Hill. Great people, better BBQ and Good prices. Anytime I find a restaurant with a lot of locals eating at it I am sure it is good. Pulled pork and brisket were our choices. I love the hot sauce and wife loves the medium. Banana pudding was top drawer. We have never been disappointed here.

Fantastic pulled pork bbq

Best Bar BQ in Middle Tennessee. I had my own sauce, Humphrey's Sauce from Huntingdon, TN. I like a vinegar sauce. They have a sweet ketchup sauce. I have been there eight times and never disappointed in the BBQ.

We pulled in for a quick bite and was it great! Their bbq is hands down THE BEST!!! They offer the usual sandwiches and plates, also have salads, baked potatoes and desserts... have gone back twice but...... They were closed 😳! It’s a family cafe and they close on SATURDAY and Sunday (ok, I get closed on Sunday).

Great food!!!

On our way to Lewisburg and stopped in for some dinner. So glad we did!!! The food was very good. Hubby had bbq baked potato. It was HUGE! He said it was delicious. I had a bbq pork plate with chips and baked beans. The meat is tender and tasty. Definitely worth another trip back there. Prices were very reasonable as well.

Best BBQ in town!!

I just threw my husband a military retirement party and I purchased 15lbs of pulled pork and 2 gallons of baked potato salad from Holy Smokes.... it was incredible! The customer service was wonderful and the food was awesome. I will be using them for all of my future catering needs! I especially love their hot bbq sauce.... just the right amount of spicy!! Yum!!
